Kingstonian are definitely playing St Albans on Sat, its being played at Harrow Boroughs ground. Lewes have Bedford. I think the league cant wait til this season is over because no-one has had a clue what is going on this year!

Ks are one of the team I cover and although they thought they were playing Lewes their secretary has confirmed they are now facing St Albans at Harrow Boroughs ground.

As Bedford finished above Lewes they have the benefit of home advantage.

Satisfied?

The Ryman League authorities seem to have f*cked up big. And the FA are unhappy with them.

This is from the Bedford Town site:-

Update on all this....

The F.A. has emailed the Ryman League asking why it has changed all the procedures from everybody’s (Clubs) understanding. There is quite a bit more going on in the background, but it looks unlikely that anything will change, as it all has to happen by Saturday because decisions are made Sunday who goes in what league for next season.

Ryman League also failed to notify any play-off clubs what the discipline procedures are for this competition. Which turns out that both us and St.Albans who had a player sent off yesterday as well will not be able to field them Saturday.
Frankly if it had not been for Dave Swallow diligence we could well of played Saturday and been disqualified for fielding a suspended player.

The feed back I’m getting elsewhere suggests the F.A. is absolutely fed up with the Ryman but in the time available can do very little about it.

To top this Lewes are not happy at all and having a very hard schedule so far were expecting to play Kingstonian and want to play who they believe the published schedule stated they would play.

A minefield or what.

And this is from the Lewes FC Forum:-

Welcome to the world of the Ryman league cronies. We run this league and we can change the rules at the drop of a hat. We didn't like the fact that you beat Basingstoke last night - that wasn't supposed to happen. We have already tried to stitch you up by making you go to Yeading when originally the venue was supposed to be decided on the toss of a coin. Now we want you to beat the next best team in the play-offs away from home. Never mind that as things stand, Kingstonian will now play St Albans at a neutral ground (Harrow Borough), thus solving the problem of their ground being unavailable on Saturday afternoon. Never mind that the format for the play-offs has (supposedly) been set in stone for weeks. We want to do everything we can to stop you going up, and we have the power to do it. It's an absolute disgrace. There is someone with a vested interest in seeing us fail out there, and he should be ashamed of himself.

Just about sums it up.

Didn't the Ryman League try and take the FA to court because they (or more likely, the teams that hold the power in that league) didn't want to go along with the restructuring? Looks like the cronies in charge are trying to get their own back on the FA by fecking up the play-offs so much that they screw up the whole of non-league football. They are a disgrace.

I've just e-mailed Nick Robinson, the Ryman League Secretary

secretary@isthmian.co.uk

What on earth is going on?

Why have the play-off fixture arrangements been changed mid way through the competition?

What further tricks does the League administration have up its sleeve to ensure that Lewes will not be allowed to progress?

Who are you accountable to?

At this stage, I'm being polite. Things may change.

Apart from anything else, the fans deserve better treatment.

Didn't the Ryman League tell Lewes they couldn't be promoted last season because they were ONE turnstile short? Somebody up high seems to have a real problem with Lewes FC and I really can't work it out. Are the people in charge of Worthing high up in the Ryman League commitee?

Went last night to Basingstoke along with about another 150 Rooks after going 1 nil down on a very heavy pitch Lewes pulled back a minute before half time by Danny Davis. Second half started like a house on fire with Lewes scoring two goals in the first ten minutes. our goal then took a battering defore Davis sealed the victory.

Great sceans in club house after game and got home at 00:45 a bit drunk.

Heres to whoever we have got to play on Saturday.

In fairness :glare: I suppose I ought to record the reply I've had:-

Thank you for your email; your comments are unkind and unfounded.

If you check with your Club, you will find that no-one spoke to me before saying the team they thought you would be playing in the next round of the play offs; if they had I would have explained the position rather than letting assumptions be made. I hope you have not been inconvenienced.

You might want to ask the Ryman League secretary why the Ryman League themselves showed the fixtures on their website as being Kingstonian vs Lewes and St Albans vs Bedford. Seems like everyone misunderstood the situation, including the Ryman league themselves.
