The difference here (or one of them) is that the aim hasn't yet been achieved. Promotion was the main target that season, so the levels dropped off.

True. But another difference then is that we were a much better side than the 3 we faced, whereas this time we're nowhere near as good as one team, and fairly similar to another.

No way RDZ would allow that now.

To be fair, he won't need to stop the players dropping off, they're as aware as he is that the target hasn't been reached.
