The thread only exists because of what you posted and the way you did it after the Liverpool game. Wallowing thinking you’d been proven right. Look what that invites when it turns back again. A big fat dose of schadenfreude. Trust me no one is happy, we are all sick, and if you were a bit more mature and had slightly better emotional intelligence you would know that.

says you. bloody hell. that was after a decent run, no?

correct me if i'm wrong, but was it you, mr football, who wrote, "potter has a stench of failure about him"?

have a little think, numbnut

To be fair, he posted that thread just after we’d deservedly won our 3rd game in 4, which included 2 wins against big-6 clubs. Losing one game a few weeks later doesn’t make him wrong.

The thread he posted was back handed gloating disguised as an olive branch after he’d spent weeks arguing with anyone and everyone who had the audacity to criticise the manager during a pretty horrific run of results dating over a year.

What’s been proved is we can beat teams that take a game to us and we can’t for our lives beat a team that defends. Let’s all pray that’s enough to keep us up. It’s going to be very tight.

To be honest let’s not single out this thread, virtually every second thread posted tonight has me in hysterics on a pretty crap evening. This is when NSC is at its best, brilliant, full of people saying mad stuff cos they really care, don’t ever change. Sod knows if we’ll go down or not, the odds must still be in our favour you’d think, but thanks for all the off pitch entertainment all

Thank you [emoji106]

The irony of someone proudly brandishing a Mr T avatar telling other people to be more mature and to have more emotional intelligence, is, well. Pretty hilarious to be fair.

If I were TB I’d be asking Ashworth in his opinion is it just bad luck stopping us win games by scoring 2 or 3 or something else tactically?
CH wasn’t afforded a chance to rectify his failings in 18/19 or given the squad/budget GP now has available to him and chances are we won’t finish much/if at all higher this season as we did that season.

but what were the chances of progression with hughton hoofball?

for some reason, lots of people think bloom is minted, therefore he must be constantly pissed, do you think he knows nothing about football?

Exactly and it was positive as well. Born from a beautiful, historic result on the back of a pretty damn good run.

But to post this way after we lose, suggests the person prioritises settling personal scores over the results of the club they claim to support.

And as you rightly say, it proves nothing. We lost a game we had no right losing. Fair enough, that’s football. But it was hardly as if we were out played or tore to shreds. It was an unjust result in most people’s eyes. And it’s just one game. Our first defeat in 6. If that means “Porter out” then I don’t know what to say.

well, it will be less tight than last season

A few of us have have seen this result coming for a long time. January and February on NSC have been difficult months having to read the smug comments from the Potter sycophants.

Some of us always saw the flaws in Potter’s philosophy but were shouted down and called ‘bedwetters’. We could see that Potter’s inflexibility or reluctance to change his system against teams who defend deep and in numbers would not yield anything against our relegation rivals. The pedestrian pace for large swathes of each match might look great in the possession stats, but the only column that matters rarely exceeds 1 at the end of a game.

To the Inners. Come on. Let’s get real. We are in serious danger of going down with Potter at the helm.

Tonight I extend a hand of friendship. We’re all fans of the club - not Potter. Let’s unite as a fan base again and move forward together.

One very very frustrating and hurtful loss and you call for the managers head, after an excellent run.

F**k off.

I remember as a kid.

In my street two families shared the same entrance gate and pathway. And it was an unwritten law that the Matriarch of each family would take turns each week of brushing the pathway and washing the steps.

Then one day I saw Marilyn Gibson and Sadie Grimason fighting in the street. Both in their 50s or 60s at the time. All the other families . Grown Ups and the children stood round watching the fight with no one intervening to stop the fight.. including the the two husband's of the feuding women.

Then someone happened to say. " What they fighting about " ? To which someone responded. " Sadie sept the pathway but she forgot to wash the steps " :)

Crime of the Century obviously :)

This thread reminds me of that fight

People have short memories and want instant gratification. Things are slowly moving in the right direction and we’re still a PL club. That’s better than most teams who’ve been promoted to the PL over the years. As we slowly improve there will be loads of clubs with fans moaning for their team slipping down a place. Not everyone can shoot up the table and stay there forever. It’s impossible. We’re improving. Just for the past 12 years we’ve said every window we need a/another freaking striker!!
