I was the my schools shot putt and javelin record holders (as far as I know I think my shot putt one still stands from 1998), but I'd be fecking useless now. I like table tennis though. And I'd like to put my lardarse frame to use in the Handball. I'd do the equestrian, but I'd worry that the horse would be sore afterwards :D

I was a fencer for a few years, took part in a couple of competitions. Sadly, I'm not an undiscovered talent.

Was a fair middle distance runner at school but I think we have a few of them.

I can take the role of the plucky loser if it's still going? I'm not bad at many sports but I'm actually good in even less, giving me ample chance to become the 'he may be 7th out of 9 but he gave it his all' athlete that everyone loves to cheer on...

100m champion at my school when I was 14, ran 12.5 on a rough grass surface. 2nd in the shot put. I was awful at 200 and 400, decent at long distance, apart from that though shit at everything else

Anyone giving times for schools events should only do so if it was the County Schools. I've seen some VERY DODGY school teacher timing in the past.

Loving' the 3,000 metres time!

We're full of sporting talent here.

Most of the Bracknell clan have competed at some time in the World Toad In The Hole Championships. To say nothing of the World Pea Throwing Championships.

I won a beach skittles tournament in Newquay, when I was fourteen. The prize was a fancy cigarette lighter.

And, a couple of years back, the teaboy represented Great Britain in the European Triathlon Championships.

And, finally, I got very drunk at Brendan Foster's 21st birthday party - but I don't expect that counts for much.

I'm thinking about setting up a table tennis tournament (possibly doubles) to start in the next month. Would you be keen?

Ps Apologies for hijack. Will start a new thread on it.

I've only once found a decent doubles partner, he happened to be the Number 1 in Sussex a couple of years ago and I gave him some decent games! Apart from that I always get tangled up trying to remember whose shot it is!
Where would the tournament be? I'd be interested but can't make any promises.

Preston Park. It is going to be fancy dress to boot. The birth of 'Brighton Pong' - all proceeds to a local charity.

I'll have a go at archery and diving (although I'm not jumping off them big platforms, I'll roll in backwards)

Are you suggesting my teacher was being creative when I ran the 100m in 8 seconds flat?
