I was struck in the Chelsea match how much running we did, including and especially Vicente. I do not see this in Dobbie.
Danny Cullip, for all his shortcomings
El-Abd
What shortcomings?!
Perhaps weve got too many and so they are cancelling each other out?
Greer is captain but Crofts and Hammond are all former captains and known as influential in their time. Cant comment on Calde and other but perhaps they were before. if you have too many of one type of player that can cancel out the advantage... too many captains spoil the teamwork?
LuaLua can be, but not sure what has happened to him over the last year.
There is nobody rallying the troops and driving them forward at the moment. I mean a player that goes around bollocking, congratulating and generally looking like he is in control of all around him, with the others looking to him for inspiration. Fecks sake we even have team mates squaring up to each other, not a good sign.
Thats my point. Greer may not be commanding because there are other players who behave like captains in the team... which would certianly result in certain players squaring up to each other.
perhaps Greer is just not doing his job as captain.
Admittedly I have not been to many games (Hull, Derby away and watched Blackpool on stream) - but I have seen Greer lay into team mates for things which aren't actually their fault, and in some cases were actually his own fault (Hammond missed header at Derby where he shoved him out the way, his OG where he lambasted Koosh)
I see this as frustration with himself though, but is that frustration spilling out and destroying his leadership?
To inspire your team mates doesn't just involve laying into them when they have done a mistake!
Can we have one of these please Tony?
