Just driving home and briefly heard on talksport some chap say that his newspaper would be running a story on Sunday about brighton being the front runners to sign a current prem striker who "should excite the fans".

Again, i only heard that bit so have no idea who the journo was.

You're welcome.

I didn't hear that.

However, there was a journo on the afternoon Drive show earlier today talking about Charlie Austin and how he (the journo) had been with Bobby Zamora discussing him recently.

This could be a classic 2 + 2 equals 5.

Not sure how BZ could be labelled "current prem striker"
Or Carlton Cole
Must be Aguero then

Excellent! We're going to sign Jimmy Van de Graaff.

I believe the journo was Tom Hopkinson from the Sunday People.

Zamora would fit in terms of how I took his comments.

But Zamora is not a current Premiership striker is he?

We spoke to Zamora weeks ago, way before the end of the premiership matches.

I was told last week it was close to being a done deal. Source - Someone who knows him very well!

For what its worth, Murray would excite me!!!

Oh, but on NSC we are told time and time again that contracts run until the July 1st so we should all relax about signing anyone.

By NSC rules, Zamora is a PL striker until July 1, at least

I think it's two different journos talking about two different people: Maxwell and Faraday. They would definitely induce some energy.
