It's a decent compromise, seeing as we're stuck with Hyypia.
I think 'Bolted, stable door, horse, gone, after........' applies equally to the concept of a compromise now.

If he's not going to go, then he quite simply should be backed to the hilt as much as possible.
Get him some better players than he has now, and as people have said, an experienced head like Lennie Lawrence in the coaching staff.
Hyypia hasn't given any indication he's a good manager other than some moderately alright play at the start of the season, but if he's here long term then let's just give him every resource we can in the hope he turns into one.
Jones could be shuffled to first team coach, or some such thing, and we could get a Lenny Lawrence type to give Sami a helping hand.
Getting in an experienced person to tell him where he's been going wrong, and what to do next – yes, that could really shatter his confidence, and more importantly, destroy any credibility or authority he has with the players. Great! That's all we need.
Middlesborough tried doing this a few years ago; it failed.
Bolted. Stable. Door. Gone. Horse. After.– yes, that could really shatter his confidence, and more importantly, destroy any credibility or authority he has with the players.

They surely can't leave him standing there alone, clueless and defeated?!
If he really isn't going to sack Hypia, we need an experienced man to mentor him and put some passion into the club..........I give you Brian Horton
Having a scapegoat does us no good whatsoever. Especially when the wonder that is NSC has already turned on the board almost as much as the manager.

If he needs an experienced assistant shouldn't that man be manager and Hyypia shunted down to assistant (or tea boy)
Ah - we're agreed then! That is fairly close to Sami's touchline look.
