So many lovely people i feel i know having been on this site 20 years... but the three that jump to mind in recent years are (in no particular order):
The Clamp hans kraay fan club Harry Wilson's tackle

Honourable mentions to:
Kinky Gerbils as he's also a yid Uncle Spielberg i'd like to buy him a beer for all the mortgage help over the last decade.

Can't believe i forgot my old mate Tom Hark, Preston Park

Nice of you to say so…..:D

This thread is brilliant - I think the reality is, despite all the venting and aggro we see generated from behind the keyboards, most of us would rub along ok over a few beers, and any differences of opinion would be respectful (apart from PPF, obvs, who’s evening wouldn’t be complete without offering someone out - and even then I’d arrange to go fishing with him afterwards :lolol)

Definitely. Much more in common when not talking UK politics.

If you look back 10 / 15 years there were (now banned) posters trying to drag things down with stuff like blatant antisemitism and/or making braindead “I suggest we meet to discuss this further PAL” threats after they’d swiftly lost debates. Sifted out, along with a load of not very clever Palarse trolls.
Bry Nylon’s witty remarks always a bonus too.

I've met Guinness Boy (multiple times over many, many years). He's a very good hearted, opinionated chap who I consider a friend. I've also been out drinking with his wife, but that's a long story :lolol:

I've also met Ernest and sat at the AMEX with him. He is a very sweet hearted fellow in real life and I hope he's okay.

TayBHA and I, as well as GB, were in the same cricket team at different times. Taybha is a funny little man, and good company.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. I have to say, it did make me chuckle when people offered people out. It happened to me a few days ago and it was like being back in 2010.

In fact I'm convinced the reason Ppf hasn't been perma-banned is because he's a Grade 1 Listed User. I think Bozza has awarded him heritage status :lolol:

'nuttin but love to Ppf.

Yes, the good old days. Back when Covid was nothing more than a glint in a careless Chinese scientist's eye and Putin was happy just to be riding topless on horses and showing off his man-boobs while fly-fishing.

Pretty pink fairy for me. Suspect we went to loads of the same gigs in the 70’s & 80’s and would spend the evening reminiscing about the baseball bat incidents when Bad Manners played the Top Rank and other tales of derring do.

So long as week away from discussing you know what* will get on fine.

I'm very disappointed no-one wants to meet me. I've got all the Brighton Bus timetables from the 1970s. We could have hours of fun discussing the routes.

I’ve met a few NSCers, but I’ve still got a long list of those I’d like to get acquainted with. Swansman seems the obvious choice to head that list but having Guinness Boy there too would surely make for the most entertaining evening?

In the past (not so recent) I've been quite adapt at working out a few "notorious" members by listening to their conversations traveling to and from a game.

One in particular (still posts) was on the phone telling their friends (on the way to an away game) where to get off an on to avoid paying for a train ticket.

Somewhat surprisingly, since the member in question (if to be believed on here) is very successful financially.

I'll leave it at that.

:lolol:

Ain't that the truth. I've met a few NSCers over the years and I've always had some interesting conversations with them. There's probably not much that divides any of us

Theron lies your problem. There is a trade embargo with Russia. You can't get parts for those buses now :)

Well, I did introduce you at the last game. Sort of. Bring some flowers to the Liverpool game and I'll do it proper, like

Diaries would need to be cleared the next day, that's for sure. Could very well be a long and messy one.

I have a sneaking suspicion that Swanny and I would get on better IRL because
*whispers*
we're actually quite similar in many ways

hans kraay fan club and Frutos for me.
Pretty much agree with everything they post!

Better to meet someone whose posts you don't agree with. Would make for a much more interesting evening.

It's the best part of 25 years since I saw Wozza, Bozza, Insider and Papa Lazarou IRL, so a catch-up with them would be my choice.

Music-wise, Pevenseagull seems to have impeccable taste, so a beer and bands chat with him gets a thumbs-up too.

And hopefully hart's shirt should be back in town for another game at the Movenpick soon...?
