Sorry guys, your use of our lovely language is terrible. So here is a quick lesson in the usage of some common words:

there = over yonder
their = belonging to
they're = they are

your = belonging to you
you're = you are

too = aswell
to = do I have to explain this one

no = see to
know = having knowledge

These are not dictionary definitions, but you should get the general idea. I now expect perfectly written posts from you all!!!!

:lolol:

Never start a sentence with But.

Getting is another "no no" word. (according to my old English teacher).

I understand that Crystal Palace can only be used in tabloids!

Curious, the other most common error on here is joining together two words that don't belong together. 'Alot' is one example of this. 'Aswell' is another. You may want to correct your lesson.

"Noone" instead of no one.
"Loose" instead of "lose"

All important points but they pale into insignificance compared to dullards who say 'should of' instead of 'should have', 'upmost', instead of 'utmost' and most importantly "going up to win the cup" instead of "going up and we'll win the cup!"

PS - Who led the Pedant's Revolt? Which Tyler! (I know, I know I'm the only person who finds that remotely funny. Even people who understand the references don't laugh)

Crystal Palace cannot be used in the Live Chat. You get a profanity warning.

Would of = ??? IT DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING!! :shootself :shootself
(Just noticed Braders posted it on another thread and it is a common mistake).

See how it makes no sense in a full sentence:

I would of gone to see the Albion play today, but I'm TOO STUPID TO LIVE SO MY BRAIN SHUTDOWN AND I WAS SHOVELLED UP BY THE DUSTMEN WITH ALL THE OTHER RUBBISH THAT ISN'T FIT FOR THIS WORLD!!

.. and relax.

:)

I see you are asking a question there, so where is the question mark?
