Australia's full of these fans with numerous teams.

Always some EPL team they saw in the top half of the EPL table.

Drives me mental, some people i know support Man Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool and just choose who ever is top of the league at the time. Then tell me that the Albion are shit because they've never heard of them. :wanker:

Yes, well at least take solace in the fact I don't go for a top 4 team :D
[EDIT: By top 4, I mean Liverpool Arsenal Chelsea and Man Ure. It would've been a bit hypocritical of me seeing as Spurs are fighting for 4th spot]

There's a particular reason I can't stand Spurs.

Back in the 90's a friend was a Spurs fan and part of the Australian Spurs fanclub.

When the people who ran it made contact with the club about some small gesture of recognition of its fans in Australia they wanted nothing to do with them.

Snubbed them off big time and treated them like they were nothing.

I can see how that would piss you off, but different people have loads of experiences with different clubs, and that hasn't been my experience.
One thing not uncommon here is that I hate Crystal Palace. That is mainly because of my Uncle getting a brick in the face by one of their supporters, but also because I'm an Albion fan.

Don't worry about it Dizzle, what we need to be doing is getting all our Aussie friends that don't support a team on the Albion bandwagon. I already have friends that tell me they look for the Albion result before they look at any of the Premiership ones. Even some of my ex-pat friends who support other clubs have adopted the Albion as a 2nd team, the more we tell the Aussies about what is happening at the club the more they take note and the more it raises the clubs profile.
The futures bright the futures blue & white.

Haha yeah, ive gotten a fair few mates all looking out for our results now. Alot of them hadn't bothered much this season though as they were tired of seeing so many wins. :D

Soccer is an abbreviation of association and was indeed coined in this country.

As for Tottscum... Southampton 0 - 0 Tottscum... nuff said.

You might find this interesting.
I play in the Eastern Lions Soccer Club U16s (yes I know, the "S word") and my coach has a son who plays football in England.
I told him about how I went to the game at Withdean, and he told me that his son got a call from Brighton & Hove Albion! Apparently it was something about strengthening the defensive line. An amazing coincidence.

Welcome to BHAFC and don't give up. I am sure that you will be able to obtain counselling to gradually take you away from the plastic clubs like Spurs, Manure, Manc, Chelski etc

Best

Al

PS - Look forward to your vids which I have not been able to take in just yet.

A mission gladly accepted by me, i have the bonus of being a teacher, and take great pleasure in teaching kids that there is life outside the premiership. Still most are Man U, Liverpool, Chelsea etc but from little things, big things grow.

As the Grade 3's and 4's lined up for their cross country a few weeks ago. As i scanned the kids i noticed a very familiar blue and white shirt and that beautiful seagull. Apparently she had recently moved over from Leicester but her brother was an albion fan!!!!
Not sure how that works but we are definitely becoming better known.

If I had to live in Oz then Melbourne is the city I'd choose. The climate is not so oppressive in the summer, but is still mild in the winter. Also, I believe the crime rate is significantly lower than other cities; can you confirm, Blackxz12?
Well Melbourne (I think) has been rated one of the most liveable cities in the world.
As far as crime goes... I dunno, it's very dodgy in the city late at night. People may have heard of racist attacks on Indian students, etc.
I couldn't give an opinion because I don't really know the crime rate of other cities!

No crime?! Have you seen the first series of Underbelly... gang warfare in Melbourne throughout the 2000's. Brilliant series actually. Only good Australian-made TV series I've seen since I moved here 8 years ago
