Getting ones retaliation in first before the Nigels : a favourite on there is :

Ars Bandeet Ok, so this article is quickly starting to look like a wind-up, but legend has it (backed up by a few quick google searches) that in the 70's the Algerian national team included a player called Ars Bandeet. That's good enough for us.

I like the sound of a front line of Bongo Christ and Two Boys Gumede. A centre back pairing of Argelico Fucks and Danger Fourpence with Mr Forbes Phillipson-Masters as back up. Surprise Moriri to come off the bench to bag an unexpected winner.

Norti Nortey not being listed is a let down. The only football named after the opening line of song by The Shamen.

Kenny Lunt has long been a Spooneriffic favourite of mine.

There's a guy in the lower reaches of re Football League called Lenel John-Lewis. Never knowingly undersold?

It's still amusing now, though not quite as pant-wetting as at the time... but as a wee lad I was very amused when Dean Windass put in an appearance at the Goldstone :D

Is Gilles Donald Yapi-Yapo in there? He's always been a favourite of mine. Along with Innocent Emaghara of Switzerland. Majestic Mapp and Scientific Mapp are Basketball players.... (I could go on, me and my mates have an unnatural obsession with weird sporting names)
