That's a bit extreme..... I would reckon in the region of 1500-2000 ticket less fans,...

Unfortunately Simstip, There will always be some people on the wrong side of history , usually down to ignorance or prejudice.
Fortunately your own govt & European governments along with the USA, Australia , India etc disagree with your ‘view ‘ & some of your fellow football supporters and that’s the only thing that really matters .
I’m sure you and your ‘mates’ would be welcomed with open arms in countries like Iran , Syria , Saudi Arabia , Afghanistan, Russia etc . Perhaps you should organise a little tour for yourself as I’m sure you would feel right at home . Remember to invite westdene seagull & borat along too .

I bought a ticket after the draw. I got the app once I realised I needed it. it appears in my app ok.
not sure if it is an issue for other people, but (as mentioned on another thread) I have a dutch driving licence that I used to identify myself in the app. And I bought the ticket on Marktplaats.nl, which meant I was paying with a dutch banking system (IDEAL), though they may take paypal as they are owned by ebay, who own paypal.

I'm not sure where they've got that from or how anyone can come up with any sort of estimate when there's literally nothing to go on. Any numbers quoted will be pure speculation and guess work

it is highly likely that my knowledge of things in the world stopped updating a decade or more ago
I'm in the same boat, and am very unlikely to go to the stadium.
I watched the Marseille game in o'reilly's which is just off Dam Square.
not my favourite, but it is a typical for an Irish bar in a tourist location, so lots of telly's, and caters mostly for British football (and rugby). spacious.
Oddly when I was there there were some Ajax fans, who wanted to watch the Ajax game, and the staff would not put it on, so I hope that does not mean they have a no Ajax policy. They put their upcoming games on their website, so it would be obvious before hand.

Perhaps I shouldn't bother going. We bought our travel and hotel well in advance then I ended up in tier 3 and you can guess the rest. I was hoping that maybe some legit tickets would become available closer to the date, but it seems this is a pipedream

In this thread titled “Amsterdam pubs” there have been two suggestions for pubs in Amsterdam in almost four pages. I’m currently on the train to Schipol airport and I understand why - truth be told there are only about four which show football in central Amsterdam. Most of these with shit music playing instead of game sound.
We went to Satellite bar in town, very dead, no game sound. This is meant to be the “best” sports bar in Amsterdam.

As I am travelling solo on this occasion, my son and fellow local seagulls are not able to make it,... I aim to drift around the hot spots, find a few likely bars outside the ring of tourist madness and tourist prices, and just enjoy the game with some locals.... eat well, drink well then drift back to the west country on Friday evening..... if I hook up with some Albion characters, all the better, if not ... I've never had a problem socialising with locals in my past travels.
Not for everyone, but circs this time have dictated a solo run....

Think you're wrong. Satellite bar is not known as the best sports bar , it's a hellhole!!
Loads of English and Irish pubs about showing footy. Oreilleys as someone said above is decent will be packed when Brighton play I suspect.

I have been given one recommendation from a regular Dam visitor.... away from the DS and red light.... have a look at the Rembrandtplein area... Trans, busses and a short walk from a Metro stop too.... again, maybe not lively enough for some, but I will take a look during the Thursday.
good area / square - full of bars , prob 15 min walk from Dam Square.
on Rembrantsplein I have fun in Coco's, it is usually bouncing, lots of screens. (aussie bar, so if the rugby is on the footie gets relegated).
three sisters has football, but usually a lot quieter.
only go to satellite bar if I have gone to watch a game only to discover too late that the game is not being shown at the original bar I was heading to. (which, usually if I am on Leidseplein is Dan Murphys, or on Max Euwerplein is the Arun). My friends enjoy the ribs at satellite bar, as a veggie, I can't comment.

Booked the edge of town Ibis Amstel hotel. It was £100's cheaper than in the centre and right on a tram route. Just done a check for Wednesday night and found a brew pub with TV screens 100 metres away. Job done. Oh, and the Heineken Experience is a block away. May not even make the game!
PS if the Brighton Fan Zone is anything like Marseille take your own bucket as toilets were non existant, a couple of food shops and a guy with two small speakers playing rubbish music that no one could hear.
