If it has that's amazing. A stadium still being built is earning us more money than our existing home!

Someone said about 5,000 ordinary, and 2,500 1901 seats sold so far (Roughly).

5,000 x £400 = £2 million
2,500 x £750 (Average of the £500 and £1000 deposits) = £1.875 million.

Total = £3.875 million.

Extremely crude, but you get the idea.

To get £3.8 million at Withdean you would need to sell 9500 season tickets at £400 each.

You sound like an accountant.

I've always found there's 3 types of accountants.

A good one, and a bad one.

The arithmetic is correct, but how many people have paid £400 already? Most will have paid a deposit and signed up to a direct debit.

5,000 x £400 x 1/12 = £166,666

A replay against Stoke City might bring in 5,000 x £20 = £100,000 + £72,000 TV fee = £172,000.

OK, Stoke get a proportion of the £100,000, but let's not get carried away.

Even using those figures it's hard to say it's made money.

Cost = £100m
Sales = £3.9m
LOSS = £96.1m

But that £100m hasn't all been spent this season

I meant income received from both stadiums and anyway have we ALREADY paid out 100 million this season on a stadium that is not yet completed?

I disagree that the majority would have paid by D/D.

I reckon at least 25% have paid balance in full, maybe as high as 30-35%

But you would tend to depreciate a stadium over it's useful life and not just the year it opens :lol:

Whats the Clubs record gate reciepts from Withdean? and what are our predicted gate reciepts next season?

This will be a good indication of how we will be on a more competitive financial footing with the other clubs.

Obvisouly Pompey don't count in this as they seem to make their own rules up when it comes to revenue/runing costs/debts/admin etc.....

But we are still spending money constructing it at the moment, therefore it is still costing the club money. Its been about 5 1/2 months since the season began and we are spending on average around £4 million a month building it so it has cost the club £22 million this season alone

* based on average monthly spend figure from Kick off magazine

That's not what The Wookiee meant, it's a simple question of Falmer income - running costs vs Withdean income - running costs. The build cost shouldn't even come into the conversation.

In any case, the stadium and the football club are both subsidiary companies, I don't know how it all fits in but surely build cost is kept off the books
