The Wookiee
Back From The Dead
Has Falmer made more money for the club this season than withdean?
Someone said about 5,000 ordinary, and 2,500 1901 seats sold so far (Roughly).
5,000 x £400 = £2 million
2,500 x £750 (Average of the £500 and £1000 deposits) = £1.875 million.
Total = £3.875 million.
Extremely crude, but you get the idea.
To get £3.8 million at Withdean you would need to sell 9500 season tickets at £400 each.
The arithmetic is correct, but how many people have paid £400 already? Most will have paid a deposit and signed up to a direct debit.5,000 x £400 = £2 million
You sound like an accountant.
I've always found there's 3 types of accountants.
A good one, and a bad one.
The arithmetic is correct, but how many people have paid £400 already? Most will have paid a deposit and signed up to a direct debit.
5,000 x £400 x 1/12 = £166,666

Even using those figures it's hard to say it's made money.
Cost = £100m
Sales = £3.9m
LOSS = £96.1m
I meant income received from both stadiums and anyway have we ALREADY paid out 100 million this season on a stadium that is not yet completed?Even using those figures it's hard to say it's made money.

A replay against Stoke City might bring in 5,000 x £20 = £100,000 + £72,000 TV fee = £172,000.
OK, Stoke get a proportion of the £100,000, but let's not get carried away.

But you would tend to depreciate a stadium over it's useful life and not just the year it opens
