I'm going to hold my hand up and say I was one who moaned about the train situation. I'd just like to say with the recent run of 3pm Saturday games, getting the train back to Eastbourne is actually really easy, with no wait what so ever. I get home for around 5.30!!! If I were to miss the first train back there is even an additional one 10 minutes later.

My past judgements were based on midweek evening kick offs, I am interested to see how they manage it for the coming Millwall game. Other then that, errrrr well done Southern Rail.

Certainly seems to of settled down . The main improvement is the post 2 pm from Brighton . Used to he chaos but is now well easy . Trains are spot on . Can't see how anyone can have any issues if they are honest and realistic .

I understand p and r now good as well

Roll on the new seats .

I left the wsu at the final whistle Saturday and headed to my car in the uni at a leisurely pace and was astounded that there was barely a queue for the traind in either direction 15 mins after kick off. Looks like travel in general is now fine for Saturday games. Well done to everyone involved in sorting it out.

Midweek games we still have to see but cant imagine there being many probs regarding transport and the extra seats now.

Great news ... hopefully now they can tackle the P&R

tbf I used the park and ride for the Wrexham game for the first time since the barnsley game and it's much improved

Didn't use it for Wrexham so take your word for it ... all I would like them to do is to load more than one bus at a time ... hopefully they are doing that

The trains have improved greatly heading east; with a couple of nifty changes en-route I was getting off at Cooden Beach just after 6pm having caught the 5:10 from Falmer. hardly any queue. I usually stay for a pint and trains thereafter you can walk straight onto the platform. Easy, no?

It does help that the attendance was only 18,000 though but I agree the trains are fine, never had a problem with them in the first place though.

No Problem with the trains for me on Saturday, left after the final whistle, straight on to the 1710, change at lewes, and off to Polegate.

Back home in Heathfield by 18.00. Never got back from Withdean that quick.

The trains have been fine for me right from the start. I expect a little bit of queueing - the same as you'd get at any big event. And there's not even much of a wait any more.

Oh how times have changed!

Especially when you think it was a game against a non league side, and it was known some first teamers would be rested. Compare that with other clubs' current average LEAGUE attendances (not naming any names) and it really is fantastic

Yeah, we all knew there would be teething problems (which there were) and we all guessed that eventually these would be ironed out (which by the sound of it they are). I'm sure there are still areas to be looked at and issues to be solved, but well done to the club (and the railways) for the progress so far. And also well done to all those who constructively highlighted the issues - or 'moaned' as Andy Naylor and others would say.

They seem to be allowing a lot more people on the trains now. I left after final whistle and being near the top of the WSU it took a while to get out to the concourse. Walked to the station and squeezed on to the 5.19 to Brighton. Mind you it was a squeeze and my lad was a bit short of breath once we got to Brighton!!

I was really concerned how transport, particularly the trains, would work out but it's been fantastic. If you even only stay for a quick pint you're unlikely to face a queue to get on a train - if you have a couple of beers, you'd not even know there'd been a big event at the stadium when you get to Falmer Station.

Agree - more and more are now staying for the post match two pinter and it is certainly evening things out. Even when there is a wait, there's some good banter on the concourse too.

Takes me less time to get home from the AMEX with an 18,000 crowd , and a longer journey, than it ever did at Withdean with a 7,000 crowd ..............................................
