As I also explained in my post they will be “eating and drinking” and they still can in the Plan B rules. It’s a loophole, simple as that.

They should make those Squid Games masks compulsory for teenagers. Might be fewer objections ? One of my nurses showed me pictures of her son and his mate wearing them (the top boss black ones) to a Halloween party. I thought they looked rather good, if a bit scary. Imagine the entire North Stand in those masks. Of course they might need upgrading a bit for Covid protection.

Actualy the club strongly recommends that you do wear a mask in your seat, like the Man City home game last season. I wore a mask throughout that match and it didn't detract from one of the best nights of my life at The Amex at all.

Recommend is the key word. I wear my mask at all times but struggle with masks making my glasses steam up so if I wish to watch the game it will need to be without a mask

Mix a small drop of washing up liquid in a quarter / half cup of water.
Wipe the liquid on the inside and outside of the glasses with a soft tissue, allow to dry.
You will have no misting on the glass.

At a push, wipe a dop of saliva with your finger across the inside of the glass.

Yep……we’re heading to a suspension. Incidentally Lewes Women had to play (FA rules) today with a ‘bare bones’ squad of 14 including DS players due to a Covid outbreak.

Agreed. Can't see how the dressing rooms can survive let alone the fans, need to ride this wave out.

The PL will push desperately for games to carry on, if there were a disruption this year there's nowhere to catch up with Qatar in less than 12 months but footballers need to take more precautions and really need to stay in one bio secure bubble for the next few months. Sadly I don't see how we can continue with full audiences and all the mixing that entails, particularly when they can't follow the current covid protocols to keep themselves and their fellow supporters safe. I think we'll be back BCD by the turn of the year until at least when the clocks go forward in March.

I don't want to wear a mask. I don't believe they work. I don't care what they advice is. I haven't been personally effected. I don't trust vaccines I think it's just like the cold... etc etc

A small part of the article mentions the Albion as a club taking pre-emptive measures:

The Premier League Club COVID Response Advisory Group met on Thursday and reviewed how the Premier League should review the changes. There is broad consensus across the division that the new regulations should be followed and the emphasis is on providing stewards and supporters with necessary information to follow the rules.
Brighton, for example, are adopting a zero-tolerance approach and any supporter attempting to flout the need for an NHS COVID pass to gain entry to matches at the Amex Stadium risks police action and having their season ticket withdrawn.Brighton host Wolves on Wednesday — the day the new rules come in — and any fan over the age of 18 needs proof of a double vaccine or a negative lateral flow test, taken within 48 hours of the fixture. The club has asked fans to fill in an online COVID-19 registration form, which will be sent to them before the match.
Brighton anticipate that the vast majority of fans will comply with the COVID pass mandate. They have warned, however, against anyone attempting to circumnavigate the club’s digital ticketing system, if they are refused entry at a turnstile, by then trying to gain access via a different turnstile before the ticket is blocked. They would be reported to police and, where applicable, lose their season ticket. Even if they get in, the club could prove via the system that they were inside the stadium and take retrospective action.
Although not mandatory, fans are also being encouraged to wear masks inside the Amex other than when eating and drinking.

I would imagine that if the stewards are checking all Covid passports on Wednesday that the queues may be long to get into the stadium.
