20,000+ shirts in adult and child sizes, plus numbers and lettering: assume an average of £40 a shirt, perhaps a bit more. That's almost £1m revenue by itself, and I imagine the margins aren't too shabby. Good work by the club.

Add shorts, socks for your kids.
The temptation to buy home and away tops.
And all the other merchandise in the shops.

Never seen so many kids in Brighton tops. My eight-year-old has home and away kits and doesn't seem to wear anything else these days.

with all the club is doing for real ale, i think this should be recognised by CAMRA (being a member) I cant remember another event contributing 8,000 sales of ale in a few hours

So the revenue received for beers and pies is roughly £90,000 a match? (Some people buy on their preloaded cards, some don't). We can also add sales of soft drinks, burgers, hot dogs etc which will bring revenue to over £100,000. Presumably the costs (staff/stock etc) are incurred by the contract caterers? I wonder how much of that £100,000 the club receives as their share? (I have no idea)

And, you can't eat or drink them, but:
In one of the recent programs it was stated that they're on course to sell 20,000+ shirts, compared to 5,000 max in the Withdean era.

When we were down in Brighton at the beginning of August it struck me how many people were wearing blue and white/green and black on a non matchday. My missus wanted to know how I knew so many random people having a quick chat with me after being away from Sussex for nearly 20 years until she cottoned on it was because I was wearing the stripes.

I have noticed rather a lot of fat blokes with beer bellies around lately.
Seems to have coincided with the Amex opening!

I have said to several people that it is so wonderful seeeing so many Albion shirts in Shoreham on a Saturday now, right through the morning. I was stood at the train gates last match next to a dad with 3 young kids, one with blue & white, one with green & black and his daughter in a pink & white albion shirt. Woouldn't have seen that last year methinks.

This pink and white kit idea is a masterstroke by the Albion. Name ANY other club in the country that does a special kit for females only!

I've seen some blokes wear the pink and white. Not many granted.
