WSU waited fifteen mins for a drink from 2.20 to 2.35. Not good enough really. They have someone pouring sometimes and a bloke loading pies but they need a fast queue for hot drinks and a definite runner to get the orders. There is enough room.

I normally sit in the west stand upper and the service is fairly average with the exception to one lovely young lady who always serves me with a smile. I experienced the east stand for the first time against southampton and was deeply disapointed, the qeue was taking far to long and then when i finally got to the counter they had run out of chicken and ham pies to then get told 'maybe go and qeue at one of the other stands' (this after 10 minutes qeueing, missing the last 5 minutes of the first half) i then experienced the north stand yesterday and had the greatest service i had receieved this whole season.

Ha ha apols for the double post!!

I must admit to not liking the Xmas pie myself. Too much stuffing. If it were just turkey (reheated leftover) and cranberry it would have worked much better IMHO.

I loved my festive pie at the southampton game. I mean for ingredients and flavour basis. I have no idea if it was the right temperature when I bought it or not, I wandered around with it in my hand for a while before eating it.

With all this criticism of the pie temperature & type should Piglets Pantry be doing some of their own quality control? Perhaps they should employ one or two people to visit the concourse outlets and perform random checks on the pies (check the temperature, ensure the pie is the one indicated on the box). They have their own reputation to consider and it won't be long before it gets tarnished. Once that happens it will take a long time to recover it.

Amex Catering reached a shocking unacceptable low yesterday- someone from the club please read.

The catering at the Amex has always been at best poor, not the food so much as the staffing and service.

Yesterday before the game there were queue's 20 deep with 3 queue's per area and 4 areas, thats a potential 240 paying customers at any one moment.

The service was shockingly slow taking about 2-3 minutes per person. Therefore at the back of the queue if you are lucky it is taking 20-30 minutes to reach the front, maybe longer. Because of this you are LOSING paying customers, revenue for the club and profit is walking away with a dissatsified potential customer.

Because it is now so BAD a lot of people don't even bother anymore. Does the club know that lots of people have decided to give up eating at the ground and are stopping at the burger bar at the station instead ?

I have noticed his queue's are getting much larger each game at the burger bar. I don't know how you get a licence but there is a golden opportunity to print money there. It is LOST money for BHAFC.

The quality of the food was shocking. The Christmas pie was an abomination and was only chosen as the Steak , Chicken and Ham, Balti and even Vegetarian pies had all run out by 2.45 pm.

Also Harvey's had run out and the only choice was Fosters, horrible. The Harvey's stand alone kiosks, normally 3, were nowhere to be seen.

You need to sort this out and FAST. If 2000 people a game do not bother now at an average spend of £ 5 a head , thats £ 10000 a game and nearly a quarter of a million pounds lost revenue each season for the club.

The staffing is, sorry, very poor. It is mainly students and people with NO catering experience or customer service levels or bar experience. You need some older and wiser heads to run the show, maybe a catering manager for each area who has experience and can organise each area to run smoothly and efficiently by directing the staff and prioritising what needs to be prepared ready for drinking and consumption.

The Amex stadium and experience is wonderful but this is a MAJOR dropping of the ball by BHAFC so can someone who is in charge of this aspect get to grips with this problem NOW.

Many thanks.

If you want a decent burger or Cumberland sausage try the swan the beer is also better

We're WSU (H Block) but tried out WSL (C Block) yesterday, the concourse is a lot bigger and so obviously less congested than WSU and we had no problem getting served. Walked straight up to an empty counter at just before 2 o'clock and managed to buy the ellusive Chicken Balti pie!! Queues at half time were smaller than in WSU for both the kiosks and the toilets. But would we change our seats for the WSL next season?...............not a f***ing chance! The view wasn't bad but give me the rocking WSU any day even if it means more queueing and no Balti pies!

Queues were the shortest I have experienced at the Amex in WSL yesterday - very atypical. And as for the atmosphere? Was derad compared to normal in C block. Too many regulars missing - and no one joining in.

Question for you - how is the view compared to WSU? I'n in row S in C clock and love the view but have wondered about WSU.

You have several different problems at the amex and I don't think you all realise that in some areas what is offered is far better than at Withdean and miles better than at other clubs.

I'll counter that by saying in other parts the service and quality is way lower and frankly terrible and generally overpriced.

If you take the concourses I would say that what is on offer especially the choice, pies and beer its better than most other clubs and the service is what you would expect at matches - to have to Queue to get it unless you get there early or go at non peak times. You are going to get sellouts and hitches where ever you go. Whilst you might expect to pay a little more for this over Withdean it is overpriced though!

Save for the cost anyone moaning about these areas will moan at anything or go away matches more often!

!901 areas are a big disappointment in comparison to what we had at Withdean and worryingly what we were promised. The bars and rooms are fantastic but the service is poor and the food and presentation a big let down. That is not fine dining and worse still is the light snacks on offer, yesterday they had pork and stuffing rolls which consisted of a small dry baguette dumped on a paper plate with two bits of dry leathery pork, a small piece of stuffing a crackling! It was bad enough eating it but to have paid about £5 for it made me think I will eat outside the amex in future. After all once in 1901 you cannot get food from anywhere else (can you?).

In some of the other lounges it looks like it may be better but I have not tried and would be interested to know if its better than the profile lounge.

So when you get some people having a go at others over complaints it might be worth finding out which area they are on about but I would say that overall its overpriced at the Amex.

What worries me is that with a full capacity ground the prices should be good value and the food and service in 1901 outstanding. if we drop to 14k crowds will the standard drop to poor in the concourses and what will be on offer in 1901?

I wouldn't have done what they did and do one big deal for the whole shebang - I would have had separate local firms doing each 1901 area so you got competition and choice and allowed fans to eat in any of those rooms on a match by match basis - that would have created an urge to book meals to get the best and kept the catering staff on their toes. In the concourses I would have had more choice again by having local firms doing pizza burgers etc and letting fans choose what works best.

Having Azure do the whole lot makes me think in a season or two it will be the same as every other ground in the country!

This is simply not true about the table service. It has been very good for the last couple of months. I can't comment on the other snacks.

The festive pie was, erm, strange... Wasn't quite sure what was in it. Not completely inedible however (even tho it was served nearly cold)!

Reheated left over Turkey? What makes you think this? And where did Piglets get all this previously cooked, and left over, turkey? Did they go minesweeping supporter's houses on boxing day?

Ha ha ha, brilliant! That said, if they want some, there's still about a match-worths of turkey still here at my mum's...

I think it depends who you get and how much experience they have on the tables but long way to go to be high enough standard for "high class dining"

The staff on the snacks need to be shown how to serve and present food at £5 a pop - it looks like they have been dumped with the food and left to work out the rest.

I believe it is a parsnip purée, turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce.
