Pretty much like most construction work then, hardly a first!

Maybe on the strikes and industrial unrest bit, but handing over on time should always be applauded. Well done, one and all.

Seem to remember a few problems with The Wembley stadium

A slightly larger scale project?

Not that I am taking away from what appears to be a fantastic job on the Amex.

Almost certainly. I mean how many 30,000+ crowds have we had at home in the lst 30 years??

We haven't had a ground capable of holding that number of people since about 1975...so it is pretty hard to compare, there are games when we could fairly easily have had that amount...I couldn't get into the FA Cup game against Pompey, despite getting there an hour before kick off, there were several thousand others locked out!

We never got a 30k crowd when we were in Division 1 (and theGoldstone could take 30k in 1979)
