[Misc] American terrible ed issues.

I frequent a few different forums online and I've noticed that our friends across The Pond have obvious ed issues.
Namely that many of them don't seem to use the past participle at the end of a verb.

We (UK) might write " Look at him. It seems he got punched in the mouth."
USA write " Look at him. It seems he got punch in the mouth."

We (UK) might write " I've been on the sunbed, I look really tanned."
USA write" I've been on the sunbed, I look really tan."

Is this just another example of (written) language evolving/being butchered?
Do they teach this in their schools?

I've not particularly noted the lack of use of the past participle at the end of a verb

Who says "I texted you last week" and who says "I text you last week"
Personally, I prefer the neater "I sent you a text last week" method

I have heard people talk like that, but to be honest not as widespread as you might think it is @Algernon

As far as what they teach in the schools here grammar-wise, its the basics but most kids don't give a rat's ass about that and come up with their own shorthand anyway.

I find it mildly irritating over here when everybody says 'two times'.
No one ever says 'twice', it is like it doesn't exist but.
