American football - not all bad?

I think that the Pro-Bowl is a type of substitute for not having international teams where the best players are selected, e.g. if the USA had a team then the Pro-Bowl would become irrelevant.

I'd like to see the Community Shield Arsenal / Man Utd / Chelsea / Liverpool vs. Arsenal / Man Utd / Chelsea / Liverpool pre-season opener scrapped on the basis that we all see enough of these teams over the coming season anyway.

It should be replaced with Premiership British vs. Premiership Rest Of World.

As regards coaches challenges, not workable as no timeout mechanism in place but I would like to see all penalty decisions reviewed by an off-field official before the kick is taken. Here, there is a natural stoppage of play to work with.

I'm not a great fan of American football either, it has it moments, but in general I won't bother watching it. But this comment:

Hardly qualifies as a good point. I'm sorry he doesn't enjoy the game, but nobody is making him watch it and his comment doesn't add anything to the discusion. And I'm sure being a orient fan he'd know something about being inbred.

But the MLS has an All-Star game and there is still a US national team. A couple of years back the All-Star game was actually the MLS All-Stars vs. the US national team
