It’s an antipodean favourite. Spent a lot of time working with some Australian consultants this Summer and everything was “amazing”. Even the bottled water we had.

Someone posted in another thread about getting pissed off with people saying “have an amazing Christmas”, as they put it they haven’t been amazed by Christmas since they were 6 and believed in Father Christmas.

"Go ahead"

As in, "why don't you go ahead and enter you PIN" or "let's go ahead and turn to page 26"

It's an example of filler words which seem to be popular in North America. Why have 3 words in a sentence when you can say exactly the same thing with 12 words?
