A good player used to playing a high energy passing system, probably signals Caicedo has said he will stay to the summer then leave, which is sad but good that the club are being proactive.

Agreed, sounds like a player we will target to replace him.
Where did Caicedo say he will leave in the summer? I know that is possible/likely but don't think Moises has actually said that

He hasn’t said it, but I would guess if the club are bidding for a very similar player to Moises who would have to be a starter at the price he will demand, then that probably implies we know Caicedo wants to progress to a ‘bigger’ club quickly, just not yet.

Nothing concrete, just seems plausible, I think given how good he is it’s very hard to imagine him not moving on in the summer if we don’t get European football so maybe Haidara is being lined up.

All these rumours have come out the day the media suddenly started talking about Caicedo. I think probably bollocks all round, but would love some more additions just because we tend to hit more than miss these days.

This feels like a step up from the type of unknown talent we usually move for. Rings true. First sign perhaps that the big fees our current stars merit in the summer and beyond will have us fishing in a slightly bigger pond? Can’t see us changing tack greatly - not should we - but the occasional “ready made” signing in or close to their prime would be great too.

Aaaa Maaa Dou Dou Dou
Have a dribble, pass the ball
A Ma Dou Dou Dou
Take a shot and score a goal
Added to it slightly

Down the left, down the right
through the middle we're are dynamite
So lets go and watch our team
Play, on a Thursday night

Only got this going 'cos I've now got a bloody ear worm!

I don't think this one is likely, because he's well known and will surely command a higher fee than we would ordinarily pay. Talent wise, he has stood out to me on the two or three occasions I've seen him play - he's an excellent footballer and will only get better. If we could get him and and Matvienko in during this window it would be excellent business.

We would find ourselves in a position whereby we'll have Moder back for the last few games of the season to help get him back up to speed in time for next season, as well as having a new first choice CM in Haidara should Caicedo leave, which looks likely. This would be one hell of a deal to get done.

There is some clause mentioned for the summer but doesn't say what price it is.

This will flush out the long time posters but I think you will find the second line should be - chase a cockney up a tree.

Can’t imagine him saying anything that definitive at all but will never know for sure unless he stays beyond the Summer.

In the summer we sign this guy using the sale money from Caicedo. Like for like replacement and probably best part of £40m still in the bank. Everyone wins.
