Way out west
The thought of being in an Albion away following of 28,000 is giving me goose bumps, seven years ago I was wondering if the club I had followed man and boy was going to drop out of the league and into oblivion, in less than three days I will be cheering them on in a play-off final.

Yes Cardiff is a long way to go, but we have gone a long long way together, what is a few more miles. (Sorry Fatboy for the weak attempt at plagiarism).

i know 28,000 is a lot of fans more albion fans than i have ever seen at an albion game but im disapointed

I had a jesters hat which lit up with flashing balls and wore it at Wrexham and both Swindon matches.

i take it the magic hat will be making its way to cardiff yorkie

You can't compare us to the other teams, for Bristol it's relatively local and for Palarse and West 'am it's battling for Premiership football. If the Premiership was on offer we'd have sold out and then some, but the fact that 28,000 are travelling to Wales for a game that has a 50/50 chance of returning us to a level we were playing at last season anyway is a huge achievement.

It's a lot easier to get to from London too . They have fast trains from Paddington. We'd have to battle crap weekend trains for two hours even to get that far! 28000 is a great effort I reckon and still far more than we could even fit in Falmer - remember, that's already more than four times the number of people we can fit in Withdean. I can't imagine any negative publicity.

Quite frankly I've given up worrying about whether we have sold out or not.

What I do know is that there will be nearly 70,000+ in that stadium on sunday, and the North Stand is going to f*****g ROCK!!!!!!!!!

28,000 or 31,000 what's the difference? It's the quality of the support that matters, and we have no worries on that score.

We shouldn't beat ourselves up over this.

As stated above, the biggest factor is that so few people have had the opportunity to watch their local team for so many years.

We have perhaps 5000 season ticket holders/regulars, another three or four thousand occasionals and maybe a few hundred away-only fans. We're taking another 20000+ on top of that hardcore. That's probably a similar uplift that resulted in us taking c. 35000 to notts county in '91 and nothing to be ashamed about.

I am only dissapointed after the mayhem and queues on Saturday when the only question was " how soon will they sell out ". I thought they would all have gone by Sunday but what annoys me is that you overheard someone in the shop saying 3000 left.

Why has there been no updates from the club leaving it to speculation as to how many and what area of the ground.

I know we have had many games at Withdean this season with empty seats as people assumed it was a sell out and he marketing department needs looking out.

Why is there not a massive club promotion going on with 2 good selling days left to shift those tickets ?.

Let me clear this up. I'll just check the official website for the latest on the situation...

I would expect us to shift quite a few more tommorrow. People who have been at work all week and hopefully been taking in the build up, might just decide they fancy a day out on sunday. It's only £24 and a tank of petrol.

It's ironic, given the importance of the game, that we seem to have finally returned to the nostalgic nirvana of just being able to go the game on a whim with your mates in tow. And yet for a run of the mill league game it seems like a major logistical effort to get a ticket.
