WKD Blue tastes far too sugary, seriously neck a few bottles of them and by the end of the night you can feel the plaque on your teeth.

Funky Fish is like a village hall wedding reception place. And equally as dull.

Yeah, all that terrible northern soul and reggae and no Kylie or SClub for you groovy young people. :jester:

Oh and of course the event doesnt play shit like kylie, bros, jason donovan, mindless dance music and r&b shit.

But it does not play:

The Rolling Stones
Jimi Hendrix
The Who
The Beatles
Aretha Franklin
Stevie Wonder
Martha Reeves
James Brown
The Kinks
Led Zeppelin
Edwin Starr
Etc

The Funky Fish does

I wanna get on down to some happenin' hip hop or reach for the lazers in a pill-induced trancegasm, not creak my zimmerframe to Mick Jagger and co! Funky Fish is gay!

I thought you went to perve 12 year olds.

On the other hand I quite like a bit of Koaste.

I've been invited down to the Event on Friday for a work colleagues birthday - I'm 29 and although still enjoy nights out much prefer evenings without a load of gobby teenagers drinking WKD.

Having not been for 10 years or so (when I was a gobby teenager drinking two dogs) will I look out of place in there?

:rave:
f*** it just go, It is shite tho!

No, Funky Fish isn't really my scene.

I can see the positives it just not really for me.

I like dancing like a tit to Queen.

I've been invited down to the Event on Friday for a work colleagues birthday - I'm 29 and although still enjoy nights out much prefer evenings without a load of gobby teenagers drinking WKD.

Went a few weeks back and (i'm 30) and ended up in the middle of two birds scrapping, the boyfriend then gets gobby with me. So I end up being hassled by two blokes and a slapper. Then when I leave they are waiting outside  they then get a tramp on their side to start on me :drunk:.

I was so tempted to slap the mouthy shits, but with a homeless guy trying to bite your ear off and a bird pulling your hair and the two macho teenage guys and the chance of getting nicked - I opted for the safety of the old bill standing beside the road.

Youth of today. If you go have a fun night! :D

Im not going to say 'The Event is shit' because its fashionable to say that.

I quite like the place, musics a laugh, cheap and LOADS of girls.. a good night out for the lads (18-24).

I am 31 and still go to the Event although people tell me I look 24/25.

I prefer the Honeyclub. Sevensins on Saturdays is for hardcore clubbers only, opening until 4am.
