Am I the only way re: Rougier

..........who thinks he is rubbish and hopes sincerely that he is NOT signed by Coppell

People views are clouded by Ipswich away and his opening 20 mins in his first game (can't remember opposition) where he looked a real physical presence and scored a scrappy goal

He is past it now, and I for one will be very disappointed if he signs......am I in the minority because all I'm reading on NSC is sign him up!

Agree entirely.

And, in addition, he seemed to use up a careerful of luck when on loan with us.

Nope. I hope he doesn't join. He'd be alright for 3 games and that absolute pants for the remainder of his contract.

A bit like Kitson in reverse.

I didn't see Ipswich away but I did see Rotherham & Nottm Forest at home so I am judging him on those games.

I have a feeling you may well be in the minority on this one! Rougier will bring the experience needed up front to what will otherwise be basically kids 'doing their best'. He is strong and physical and would an extra dimension to our attack. He'd also be good as cover for any injuries.

I agree - over-rated, lumbering fool...

I'm with you as well. The flipside of Rougiers good performances were hitting the discus nets with a cross at Withdean, His handballs against Ipswich and not to mention the Salmon like leap at Stoke followed by the header to the corner flag when he was unmarked from 6 feet.

The performance away against Gillingham was as inept a forward display as I saw all season.

At least he was trying at Stoke which is more than can be said for a number of the squad

he was truly abysmal at Stoke. Good at Ipswich but shite overall we are not that desperate yet.

Last year - and the season before - we brought in players with experience of getting us out of whatever Div we were in.

This season, we already have loads of players who we know can get us out of Div 2.

Seems to me that we're now looking at spending what money we have on people with the potential to be stars - and maybe, if they do the biz, earn us a bit of cash in transfer fees at a later date - or at least be an asset to the club.

Which means yes to people like Knight and Swiss Tony; no to Rougier.

Yeah. And the fact that Rougier is crap and has the turning circle of an oil tanker.

Some people have such short memories... If it wasn't for Rougier we'd never have beaten Millwall or drawn with Ipswich, those 4 points got us so close to safety, safety we more than likely would have achieved if Pardew hadn't been a **** and had let Rougier stay.
I have a short memory too.... Dick Knight Out! :lolol:

I'm afraid, reluctantly, I'm in the anti-Rougier camp as well. Don't get me wrong, there are far worse players we can sign and if he came here, well fair enough - but I'd prefer to see him lumbering around for someone else.

The spirit is willing but the flesh is - well not 'weak' exactly, just badly co-ordinated.

Border country.East Preston.
100% Rougier !!

Clumsy, oafish, innacurate, cumbersome but troublesome !

Perfect for the 2nd.
