Am I missing something, or did I today see the WORST refereeing decision ever?

Apparently the ref said something like it was to far wide in play to give it so it wasnt a goal scoring chance :S

Wasn't that in the first half? If not there was a carbon copy. I also couldn't see how their keeper only got a yellow. We were still shit though.

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
I missed it. All I saw was 11 (then 10) players who couldn't hit a barn door at ten paces. Groundhog day in the relegation zone for the rest of the season if that performance is anything to go by.

What sort of bollocks excuse is that? Too wide? It was in line with the penalty area, albeit slightly to the right. Is the ref saying you can only get a red card for deliberate handball when the last man if you're in between the posts? Wanker.

You calling the ref a wanker right ?

We deserved nothing today and neither did Rovers. Having said that the referee was cuntybollocks so I'm with the Badger on this one.

The commentators on the radio were also surprised that the goalie didn't get a red for bringing Murray down in a one on one situation too. So they should rightly have been down to 9 men before Murray took his walk of shame.

Tranny number 8 should have got a red card as the last man , deliberate handball to stop OGH being 1 on 1 with the keeper. Martin brought down Muzza which was another red card offence , the referee had already pointed to the spot before looking over to the lino who shook his head , so the keeper only got a yellow.

All I can say is that their keeper didn't actually HACK Murray down, it was more like obstruction. It should have been a red card for sure though, and if the ref has given the pen then the red should follow.

The standard of refs is appalling, and it ruins football at the moment.

The handball was a f***ing disgrace though and I genuinely can't see why he was sent off. Worst decision EVER.

i thinked the ref saw OGHs' goal scoring record so could not send him off

The same player - no.8 - then handled the ball deliberately again near the touchline and a third time - but the referee did not issue a second yellow card.

Martin should definitely have gone also - little difference between that and FDM at Huddersfield.

High up on the South Downs.
I think the handball by number 8 was a much clearer red than the goalie bringing Murray down. With Murray, he'd knocked the ball way past the keeper and wasn't going to reach it. We were lucky he got brought down and we got a penalty out of it to be honest.

The handball was a f***ing disgrace though and I genuinely can't see why he was sent off. Worst decision EVER.

Agreed.
But if we'd done it at Withdean it'd be down to 9 players.

Last season Fleetwood was assaulted in the pen. area but somehow the ref didn't see it. Strangely the incident was never shown on any highlights. Tranmere must have their own local rules that the refs have to apply.

No excuse for a poor performance though.

Having seen it a couple of times I can see why the keeper was not sent of, there was a defender getting back and Hart was quite wide.
