Hart and Hawkins have been invited to pre-season but are still open to talk to other clubs. No guarantee they will be playing for us.

As much as I appreciate Hawkins isn't very good I think Gus is being very fair giving him the opportunity to prove himself in pre season.

Never seen Brinkhurst, so I'm in no place to comment on whether its the right choice. At one point last year, though, we were worried that CHELSEA were trying to poach him!

I think this is a kick in the teeth for a very good youngster who was never really given the chance to show what he is made of.

Shame really

Agree about Hawkins being given a bit of time (now fit) to impress, though still doubt he'll get a deal.

OGH has probably earnt that particular olive branch due to pro attitude, hard work etc, but again I don't rate his chances.

Brinkhurst: impressed on the few occasions I've seen him in action but hasn't broken into the squad and GP and co work with him so have a much better idea than us (and are qualified to judge) so I accept it and wish Steve all the best.

People moaning about youth players of youth set up is one of my favourite annual examples of how stupid footie fans can be.

What Sully who has done naff all at Millwall?. Not sure why people were so bothered he got let go.

If Brinkhurst was really that good surely he'd have played in the first team by now.

Sully who has done well enough, to have just signed an extended deal at Millwall - who are FOURTH in the league?

Why is it worst than getting rid of Sullivan, who had at least played for the first team. I trust Gus over fans who think a player has potential any day and as has been said elsewhere we are offering two players a chance to come back and train with us, not new contracts. As for Sullivan, despite all the fuss, I don't think he has played for Millwall all season.

Brinkhurst hasnt even been an ever present in the reserves so obviously Gus and the coaching staff didnt see any future for him with us. Will probably finish up at Lewes or similar not even Conference level.

He was out on loan.

Feel sorry for Pelling and Brinkhurst in the way they were told, Pelling told over the phone and Brinkhurst found out from another source.

Surprised that the lads didn't have a face to face chat like promised the other week after 10 years at the club !

Sullivan must be cheap, as it certainly doesn't seem he has set the world alight at Millwall: just one (cup) appearance all season.
