[Football] Although It's BISSOUMA They All Seem To Want...

As it stands, Biss is still a Brighton player and I've heard nothing recently to suggest that he's going to move. He looks happy and had a good old dance with the fans serenading him after the Watford game.

So it really gets on my wick when you get posts like this from wannabe ITKs and so called journalists.

View attachment 139748

Fair enough. This expert is reporting that there's yet more (not more you appreciate, but "yet more") speculation that two specific teams are in for Bissouma.

So I asked him what the sources were and where was this "yet more" speculation he was reporting. Or for that matter, the original speculation he was reporting. What did he say? He deleted the tweet. In other words it was a patently made up bit fo news from someone purporting to be a BHA specialist. Click bait? attention seeking? Boosting his ITK credentials? Very, very iritating.

I'll bet he posts on here. I don't care. Should know better than to exploit fellow Albion fans like that. Be warned - this guy simply makes things up. We knew that before, and now we have yet more evidence of it.
Its very annoying I know, the people pretending be real journalists or sources of information on Twitter. However getting a job in the media is incredibly difficult, deeply competitive and it's hardly the good ones that get the break all the time.

However this is a lad who appears to (metaphorically) be getting off his backside, putting himself out there and trying to carve himself out a career.

He may well look back and cringe in later life but good luck to him.

another thread bounce due to 1 opinion on twitter

It's twitter people !!

Well yes, but this guy positions himself as a credible journalist and specialises in Brighton. And not only did he suggest that Biss is in demand (he may be) but he implied there has been speculation and then even more. It's pretty iresponsible propogation for self interest.

He definitely makes things up.

35 yard screamer? Once in every 200 attempts perhaps. The only part of his game which isn't top class.

Yup not really his strong side... but it doesnt matter. While I think he could (and possibly will) score another goal or two per season its never been a prioritised part of the defensive midfielders job.

Really hope the Biss stays. Several big teams are still looking for a central midfielder though so I'm not ready to relax yet.

Of all the players the Reds have been linked with to replace GiniW, Biss is probably the best fit.
Plus, we haven’t spent anything really. If Mbappe leaves PSG for RM this week, I could see an offer coming in.
I’d think £35/40m plus Origi would do it.

To be fair to this wanna-be journo, he didn't say on target screamer, even the ones that hit the bank of the stand often scream over the bar.

ain't that the truth....

Top Row, more like...

:)

When it became clear that Bissouma was the designated direct free kick taker on Saturday, we had a good chuckle in the North Stand.
He actually kept it down for once and caught someone in the Watford wall at full pace in the gut.

We decided that the tactic had to be, to try and injure as many opponents as possible, from direct free kicks.

He’s worth way more to us than Ben White was, and we don’t want or need to sell………so if this went ahead Uncle Tony would absolutely rinse Liverpool IMO.

I was surprised to see him take that free kick.

Tbf, while he generally misses the target, he has been fairly close with his long shots on numerous occasions. Its not like he isnt capable of striking it hard and... well, hard.

While this is true, there are also plenty of other midfielders in a similar bracket ... Camavinga, Neves, Silva. Probably 10 or so more who could conceivably move if I sat and thought about it.

Not impossible a club makes a late move for Yves, I'm chilled though. I don't think we're selling again. Not for anything sub-ludicrous. Which probably means not at all.

Yeah beginning to feel the same way.
I think Tony is quite happy moving on one of our players each season, rather than potentially damaging the squad.

Moder/Mwepu/Caceido to get a year's, more experience and then we can see if anyone wants to shell out silly money for YB.

I'd have preferred to have seen Duffy lining one up with his left tbh

In terms of direct free kicks from that range.

I don't remember Dunky taking a bad one. "Scored" a beat at The Hawthorns and at least threatened with the others.

I suppose Yves must have nailed a few in training, otherwise why would he be taking them?

I don't think our record with direct free kicks is that good

Precisely! That's why using Bissouma to take out their players is such a great tactic.

We definitely won't score, so get Biss to target their most useful player, with one in the gut from 10 yards.

Sounds like we're replicating the Robbie Pethick days of absolutely blasting it.
