All time Top 5 Albion players

Sūþseaxna
Mark Lawrenson (clear leader by a mile)
Peter Ward (most exciting)
Bobby Zamora

These three rarely change, but the others might do thinking about their performances in the Albion shirt.

Robert Codner would not get in the top 100.

Today, I have:

Danny Wilson (close run ahead of Brian Horton, Peter O'Sullivan and Jimmy Case)

Mike Robinson (his goalscoring record in the top flight speaks for itself, but Willie Irvine I rated very highly).

i can think of MUCH worse players than pinamonte, he wasn't that bad

Oh sure, so could I if I could have been arsed to think about it for a bit longer, but let's be honest he was less than average, and we were in a pretty dreadful division at the time.

Went on to do absolutely nothing anywhere else as well, which isn't exactly a stamp of quality.

It was a defining moment when we did not sign Pinamonte because .....

such small things change history. Especially for Bristol Rovers.

That fella who scored an og at Brentford and Micky ripped his shirt off him at HT
Glen Thomas - absolutely toilet.

Mind you, he needn't have bothered. OG or no OG, we ALWAYS lose at Brentford. Gareth Glover could back Brentford to beat us, and we'd still lose. It's the law.

I don't think Mickey would have ripped Glen Thomas' shirt off him at h/t at Griffin Park. Brian Horton was the manager at the time.

Unless it was Mickey Bennett.

In which case it would have been hypocrisy of the highest order.

Glen Thomas..what a player. Own goal and set up the 2nd Brentford goal. He was Brentford man of the match. I think he retired a month later.

Was Brian Horton. Arsegas story

No one has included Andy Ritchie in their top 5, and to be honest I had forgotten about him. Just been googling Brighton players, and it's amazing how many I'd forgotten about!
