Gotsmanov - total class. Taken by Scumhampton from under our noses and left to rot in the reserves. What a waste of such a talented player.

How many 5's can I have?

subs: Spearritt,Wally Gould,Jennings,Hollins(gk),Alex Dawson.

In truth, amongst the ordinary there have been some true gems!

Suprising how often Codner's appeared so far. If NSC had been around in his day he is just the sort of player who would regularly have been slated!

Good player though, but not in my top 5, which are

Peter Ward
Mark Lawrenson
Bobby Zamora
Brian Horton
Peter Grummitt

The more of these lists that you see, the more you realise that having a Top 5 is almost impossible. Even running a Top 10 would be awkward, some of the players that have turned out for us have been incredible, in talent, commitment and determination.

Another absolute legend.

I should probably put him in instead of Ward, considering I only saw Ward ONCE. :dunce:

It's funny, his name came into my head ahead of all the others. He was such a brilliant player for us. Always gave everything he had and obviously loved The Albion

Shafted by a wage structure that Barry Lloyd inherited and then didn't tackle properly, choosing to cold shoulder the man who was most responsible for our promotion back to div 2.
