Are catagories 4 and 7 supposed to be the same?

That's what you get for making a thread like this when you're tired. Just to clear up the rules as I can't edit the first post annoyingly.

Category 1 - Has played for Brighton at least 50 times.

Cup games included. Friendlies are not. 50 appearances can be stretched over more than one spell at the club.

Category 2 - Has been part of a promotion winning squad.

Promotions via Play-Offs count.

Category 3 - Has received a full International cap during his career.

Full International Cap for a FIFA recognized nation. Does not have to occoured whilst player was at Brighton.

Category 4 - Has been relegated with Brighton

Been part of a squad that has been relegated. Players sold during the Summer transfer window do not count.

Category 5 - Has never played in the Top English Division

Has never played in the top tier of English football, either with Brighton or another club.

Category 6 - Played in at least 4 different seasons for Brighton

Made a first team appearance for Brighton in 4 different seasons.

Category 7 - Has never been relegated or promoted with Brighton

Sorry I got it wrong in the opening post. Has never played a first team game for us in a season we were either promoted or relegated

Category 8 - Has been loaned to Brighton

Has played a first team game for Brighton whilst on loan from another club. Players who go on to sign for Brighton permanently still count.

Category 9 - Has scored 10 or more goals in a season for Brighton

Has scored at least first-team 10 goals for Brighton in all competitions in a single season. JPT, F.A Cup, Carling Cup & Play-Offs all count.

Category 10 - Has played under 3 different managers during his Brighton career

Caretaker managers count. The same manager over two different spells counts as one.

Category 11 - Has played a home game for us at two or more stadiums

Has played for Brighton as the home team in at least two of the following grounds; Goldstone, Priestfield, Withdean, Falmer.

i can't help but feel that the 2nd sentence here is quite a big curveball! my first choice for that category is now ineligible!

Heh, didn't notice you can go in any category you want when it's your go. Well played.

I'll stick with category 1 and say PETER WARD...

That's one of the few things I actually remembered to put in the Original Post. Just means that nearer the end of the draft you can swap players around. Peter Ward fits in to a fair few categories so if you're having trouble filling one you can have a switch around and change what player is assigned to what category.

Surprised Peter Ward lasted so long, thought he'd be one of the first two to go, along with Zamora.

Good luck to you all, but by Christ just trying to understand 5% of what is going on does my head in. But maybe that's cos a large part of my brain can't get past "what's the point?".

What's the point in posting on a forum, or following a football team? Bit of fun, innit.

I'll admit my wording has made it seem complicated, but I've played something similar on another forum and its massively popular and has produced many different spin-offs from an all time Premier League Draft, to ones similar to this which are team specific. You learn a bit about players you didn't know about, get to build an Albion XI and voting on each others teams at the end adds a bit of extra spice to it. Totally get if its not your cup of tea, but its actually good fun when you get in to it.
