All these Christmas Guide Shows

What is it (apart from it being Christmas) with all these programs showing you how to do Christmas this year. I know there are always a few on but this week alone we have Kirsties Christmas, Jamie Mongivers Christmas on every day, we have had Delias Christmas, A Proper Family Christmas, How to do Decorate your house, Anthea's Perfect Christmas and a few others I have seen advertised.

Does no-one have the capability of organising Christmas anymore without the guiding hand of some patronising, sacharine, minor celebrity?

I for one am sick of all theses uninteresting shows! Why can't they make "Bin Ladens Christmas" or "Christmas with the Fritzl's". I would rather watch Bin laden wrapping a "surprise package" than Delia Smith telling us how to wipe are arse with mince pie scented toilet paper.

well, that's kind of my point you see, I don't watch them. I think they are designed for people who need to get out more or at least have an original thought.

The wife started watching Kirsties christmas last night. I was particularly struck by the following pearl of wisdom from Ms Allsopp on the subject of christmas cakes.."you should make your christmas cake at least a month in advance, but if you haven't dont worry you can still buy one from a good cake shop" Were it not for Kirstie I wouldn't have known about the existence of shops let alone the ability to buy cakes from them.
