Did anyone know there’s a ‘Hong Kong’ supporters club? Based in Brighton and a recognised supporters club. Some Japanese in there too - fantastic.

I saw the flag for the first time last week.

Hope we don't end up like all those crap ones listed around the Emirates - although I did like seeing Burwash Seagulls going around on the displays at the cup game last week.

It was mentioned on our coach today but I hadn’t seen it! But yes, at the Q & A a few months ago they had Hong Kong seagulls representatives and they were class tbf. Good on them - more the merrier now 👍

And i'd certainly like to see a change of thread title
It was very tongue in cheek as I took the time to speak to several and every single one was charming and friendly and personally I did my best to make them welcome, I left the ground with a warm glow.

Yes clearly a tongue in cheek title imo - more like ‘look how big our reach is now!’. There’s a hugely likeable appeal about every single Japanese person I’ve ever met. Respectful, polite and humble. And I’ve not met Mitoma but I hear he’s the same…! 🇯🇵

@bhafc99 will confirm that the Seagulls over Dubai group made everyone in the bar turn around and stare at us when the goal went in.

I smiled at the Japanese fans around me in the West Upper last Sunday after the game and they all smiled back but I have to admit to feeling cheated that when Mitoma scored they politely clapped rather than scream hystericaly like teenage girls in the 1960s as The Beatles got off an aeroplane as I expected. I felt disappointed if I'm honest.

Well I enjoyed my brief return to NSC but if this has been taken so out of context and the original thread title was so offensive that it needed to be changed I’m off.
Not sure anyone has. "All them lovely Japanese fans in the East Lower". Was that yours? I don't see anything wrong with it at all.

I lived in Tokyo in 2002/3. We were on the train over today and there was a Japanese family of three opposite us. I gathered enough from my taxi and kitchen Japanese to work out that the kid was SO excited and was practicing "MITOMA". He did think the astro pitch with the junior game going on was the ground until his mum pointed out the Amex though.

Anyway. They're great. Respectful and polite people who love Mitoma, love Brighton and spend shitloads of cash in Uncle Tone's Tat Store.

That's not what it said, originally...
