I'm not the greatest Beatles fan, and I give pretty much all music the benefit of the doubt even if I dont like it and personally think it is cack BUT I am willing to make an exception for "R&B".

R and B (old) was a generic term for all sorts of (mostly black) music. From The Coasters through to Ike Turner, what was once known as race records has became known as R and B.

The pointless, mindless, artless, gutless drivel that is now referred to as R and B is a disgrace to the term and a hideous blot on the current musical landscape (IMHO).

Every Premiership footballer seems to like it as well.

Make your own mind up as to what this says about them or the genre.

Me too. Can't stand people slagging off music genres they don't like. Just an excuse to blow their own trumpets really. I have yet to hear an R&B song that I like though.

Ooh apart from that Goldie Lookin Chain one

On NSC for over two decades...
Some of it is Good
Some of it is Shit

Like every single musical Genre

But R'n'B seems to be mostly dominated by shit though, which rather tarnishes Rhythm and Blues by association - though personally I tend to mentally separate them out.

Can you post an example of a good R&B song?
