Saw the original in the cinema a few months ago - still incredibly powerful.
Will definitely watch this - do you if it will be a cinema release too?

Saw it at the cinema,it is a difficult watch. Came out of the cinema shell shocked (forgive the terminology). Superb film making. Should be up for oscars.

Is it subtitled?
A long time since I saw the original but it is the same anti war story told from a German infantry perspective. There is the usual liberties taken in re-writing the book for the screen as most of the story takes places in the trenches with the homelife element missing but a good telling of the story.

It was subtitled at the cinema, there may be an option on Netflix?

Remake of the classic anti war film now on Netflix. Viewed as per the book from the WW1 German perspective and possibly the best made for Netflix film I have seen.

Anyone else seen it?
Yes and a very good watch and agree re the best from Netflix. surprised it was only a 15 not an 18.
