Oh sure but that's not included in net spend, which is partially my point. Net spend is misleading and the Sunderland point of view is therefore fairly one-eyed.

Net spend on transfers, fine, but general net spend would include wages. It's still spending.
Apparently if Sunderland don't win tomorrow, they will have gone a full calendar year without winning at home. Incredible stat.
