Interesting to note that John Terry is fit to play today, but wasn't 3 nights ago.

I'm sure the extra 2 days made a MASSIVE difference.

The Ferdinand, Terry situation i.e playing today sums up everything that is wrong with football and in particular the Premier League.

If they are fit to play today, then they would have been fittish enough to play on Wednesday. Maybe not 100%, but 90%, which is better tha the options we had.

So, why didn't they play?

a) Club versus country and club wins

b) they couldn't be arsed (if so, they should not play again......I would rather play someone who busts a gut to play for England)
c) McClown decides he has better options

There were no Newcastle fans left in the ground by the time he eventually came on today...

Gerrard soon showed the fans how to answer critics.
