Players have a full week before the next match after tomorrow so rotation may not be quite as much as expected perhaps ?

Go for it 4-3-1-2 with a degree of rotation.

Ryan
Montoya Webster Dunk Bernardo
Ali J Bissouma Propper
Mcallister
Connolly Maupay

Ryan
Montoya - Webster - Dunk - Burn
Bissouma - Propper
Alzate - Gross - MacAllister
Maupay

or

Ryan
Webster - Dunk - Burn
Lamptey - Bissouma - Propper - Alzate
Trossard - MacAllister
Maupay

I think I prefer the second option

I was also thinking that rotation (for this particular match) would be used to introduce players to Covid-era football behind closed doors and 90mins of hot summer Premier League football. The more players we’ve ‘blooded’ after the two initial games, the more options we’ll have for those matches (where we need and expect 3 points such as the trip to Norwich and Newcastle at home) so that Potter does not have to worry about players adjusting to such different playing conditions for the first time.

I’d expect to see starts for:

Lamptey, pace will give Chillwell second thoughts on bombing forward

MacAllister And Connolly Up top

Duffy partnered with Dunk

Stephens in for Biss

Isn't Alzate definitely out?

When asked about the squad recently, Potter said that Izquierdo was the only player not available for the restart, so Alzate must be at least a bit fit.

He was playing in the training match last week: https://www.brightonandhovealbion.com/galleries/1681617/gallery-training-match-at-the-amex

Alzate definitely available.
Potter was quite resolute on this when questioned in the post-match interview I saw.

I’ve said it for a while now, but I really see all our CMs as very, very similar ability-wise. Including Kayal too. They are all solid and have the odd blinding game. All good lower third prem players. That’s both a compliment to their ability but also a nod that if we want to start improving each year, we need to improve on them. I’d love an undroppable midfielder just like Dunk is. We don’t have one.

Mooy was that player but as soon as he joined perm he turned rubbish.

How many games does Dunk need to avoid a yellow to not get a ban? The next two?

I really hope that Lamptey gets his chance at Leicester and absolutely rips them to bits, I have a feeling that's the effect he'll have and along with the glimpses of brilliance we've seen from MacAllister start to form the shape of the future of this team/club.
I bloody love being a Brighton supporter knowing that we have some of the best talent emerging in the game at present.
I have been wearing everything being a Brighton supporter has thrown at me since 1975/6 and there were some heady days in the late 70's / early 80's but this is different. There is a permanence about this that wasn't there then. There are roots being planted that weren't a possibility then.

Bring it on. The futures bright, the futures blue 'n' white.

It's my birthday & I'm a bit :drink::drink: Anyway we're going to have a much better run in than anyone ever suspected. Top ten next season too!

Happy Birthday!

You are right about the future I think. TB’s amazing foresight & initial massive investment in youth is going to pay off very very soon.

This lot are going to do great great things!
