What are the chances we'll see him play in the Season opener against Watford? Is your coach the type that plays new player immediately?

This is such an incredibly exciting looking signing. I literally cannot wait for the start of the season, to have attacking options like Alireza, Izquierdo, Knockaert, Gross, March, Andone, Locadia and Murray is going to be so much fun. We are going to be entertained this season!

Leicester were definitely not interested in signing Alireza. Ever. I read it on the internet (after he'd committed to the Albion)

I don't normally bother watching them, but what's that Foxy Fecker kid got to say about this? Sadly I didn't follow his instructions and "smash the like button" or subscribe to his other videos...

The Tehran Times ...

http://www.tehrantimes.com/news/425222/Child-worker-feted-by-iconic-soccer-star-Jahanbakhsh

Matin’s photos emerged, dressed in a white shirt with AZ Alkmaar and Iran star Alireza Jahanbakhsh's name etched in pen on the back. He gained online fame when one of the shots went viral.

The young boy met his football hero, Alireza Jahanbakhsh, in Khavarshahr, on the outskirts of Tehran.

Matin, a child of 5 who works at a brick kiln had said he wanted to meet Jahanbakhsh badly, and the Iran international winger used his social media to find him.

Jahanbakhsh went to Khavarshahr to meet Matin and his friends Younes, Pouria, Danial, Jaber, Benjamin, and Ali.

The Eredivisie top scorer presented them all with balls and shirts and also signed an autograph for Matin which read: “To dear Matin. I wish you the best of luck in your future.”

It is safe to say that the gift is one of the most precious presents Matin has ever received.

Jahanbakhsh encouraged the children to play football and then they played together a bit.

Jahanbakhsh also asked the children about their favorite footballer, “Messi or Ronaldo?” Of course, the answer was Messi who enjoys more popularity in Iran.

The Iranian football star said his farewell to the children, but he fulfilled his promise by finding Matin and giving him his shirt. All power to Jahanbakhsh.

What a great guy. Very kind.

Will he, AJ, be available to play some part in the Brum game if wanted. ie work permit grated and trained with us..

Given he's an Albion player now, I'm guessing that yes, he will be.

My friend, never knew the great Hans Kraay Jr. has fans in Brighton too. I mean, over here in the Netherlands he has a cult status as a former football player and TV-personality, but never knew he has made an impression on the other side of the pond as well.

Hans is exactly that with us, too - a cult figure. When he signed for us in the 80s, he was banned from playing in Holland, due to repeated disciplinary problems. For us to have a foreign player at the time was still a bit unusual / exciting, and of course Hans was massively committed - big tackles, big personality. He didn't actually stay long, but he certainly made an impression.

Do you guys call the channel the pond? We call the Atlantic Ocean the pond, so when you say the other side of the pond, we think of America.

Can we give him the Bennett/Buckley Heartbeat song?

It's such a nice continuation of how far we've come.

More fool the Dutch Reporter for using NSC for the source of his article. Chose the wrong poster to quote from

Could have been worse he could have written:-

'Brighton were weighing up options on Alireza Jahanbakhsh or Matt Derbyshire'.

We have quite a few Albion fans in NL too. We even have a Dutch Seagulls magazine!
