Yeah, this and the BZ threads will probably win the summer...
At least the BZ threadS serve a purpose.

Critical mass is 3 separate threads on page one.
At that point the club sign someone with only 1 solitary mention on NSC.
Then the ITK crew go scurrying back from whence they came, giving the rest of us a couple of weeks peace.

I honestly couldn't care less if we signed this guy or not.

Quite, and given what he is alleged to have said, I wonder if he would be up for Blackburn or Hull on a cold Tuesday night, which the likes of Murphy or Marshall are far more likely to be able to cope with. Fair enough, if he signs I'll wait and see whether he is any good or not, but I won't shed any tears if he doesn't sign.

I have a feeling he is going to sign for us. No knowledge, just a feeling.

I believe he'll sign for someone; there is no way his agent will miss out on a slice of a transfer fee! The issue is where? At some point we'll move for another target but there is still a month and a half left of the window. If his agent has had no luck touting him elsewhere, I think they'll take the money and sign with us. Perhaps we'll have the bait Of the two ex-Premier League stars by then?

I definitely think he will stay in Holland and probably remain at NEC who might enjoy a good season next year. Good luck to them

The confirmed transfer value gives NEC credit-worthiness to get in new players to stay up in the top flight. Player would be taking an inordinate risk going to the Albion. Never was a rational choice for him.

He may stay at NEC until an ostensibly much larger club makes a bid. At the moment his chances of European football are much better for NEC than the Albion. I could possibly see him signing for Sunderland or Southampton? Should be good enough for Sunderland, not so sure about Southampton?

You forgot to tell us what his wages would be.

You reckon that he would refuse a move to the Albion on the basis that the chances of us securing European football are virtually zero, yet you suggest you could see him signing for Sunderland (whose changes of European football are only slightly above zero)?

As someone who is occasionally guilty of over-thinking things I doff my cap to the undoubted master. :lolol:

I see your point but his agent strikes me as someone who wants the best financial deal for both himself and his player. I find his agent profoundly unprofessional with his constant quotes turning up in the press. Negotiation via national media (be it Dutch, British or Iranian) is pretty shabby in my opinion - it's certainly the opposite of how the Albion and most clubs would seemingly like to do business. He'll come if the finances are right, forget European football or other Albion signings. The agent is just waiting for a better deal to come along.

I've been following him on Instagram for a while now. He looks tiny, I only noticed today in a recent video of him working out. probably 10.5 stone in weight. I'm undecided if I'd like him at the club or if he can cut it. If we are offering 1.4m for an unproven player he must really have something.
