sounds about right as all ive seen is people regurgitating Romano reports that generally quote MacAllisters dad and his all too frequent soundbites. the player seems to have a different focus currently so all the stuff claiming he expects the move ends up circling back to the same old quotes
He may well leave, we know that, but as posted already on this thread, Brighton saying to Liverpool 'we'd like £60m', when our season hasn't even finished and we desperately need Ali to be focused, is not very Brighton is it.

Exactly that  Also taken on a 'senior' role in looking after the Latino wonderkids. Great role model. His English has improved incredibly as well - totally confident in that longish post-match chat on TV on Thursday.

I loved it when we brought him back early from Boca. He brought something different to the space behind the striker, inventive.

The outrage from the entitled plastics underneath that tweet is beautiful

AN has now amended his forthright claim.

Not sure why they expect no contact? Why would they bother courting the dad?
Maybe dad is enjoying the hospitality at top clubs and is winging it! Has been known for family members to exploit connections. No harm in it apart from tapping up being illegal

Oh geez.
I'm going to expose myself as more of a moron than some think (yeah I know...impossible) and say :
I just don't think Alexis Mac is as great a player as he's being made out to be and I think he'll be easily replaced by someone just as good.
Let me qualify that statement.
I'm sitting at work just outside Newmarket, working on a Sunday since 7am, bored sh*tless, my crappy car parked in a carpark almost a quarter of a mile away that I'll have to walk to at 7pm in my less than fr fr fr fresh Adidas trainers, likely in the rain and have 100% no football management skills or experience.

I’ve seen some bad takes on here but wow this might be up there.

Delivers a game changing performance in World Cup final, returns to the Albion where he’s been almost flawless under RDZ and then puts in that performance against United (which is up there with the finest performances at the Amex) and the take away is that he’s a bit overrated.

Alexis is a special talent that we’ve helped nurture. Destined for the very top (he’s already there internationally) and on top of that he seems like he’s a lovely bloke. We are very lucky and whoever ends up having him next will be lucky too.

Like I said.......
I'll reserve my judgement until I see him next season in crappy Argentina, and rubbish Liverpool colours.
I'll be watching to make certain I was right.
What do they know.

A bit harsh on Algernon I'd say. You have to admit there is a lot of hype around MacAllister - that doesn't mean he's not a great player. I didn't see the ManU game so admit you're in a better position to judge his performance than me. Caicedo is the player we'll have most difficulty replacing in my opinion but maybe I'm wrong.

He was magnificent in every WC start, at the end of each win Messi went first to Mac A to acclaim him.

He ran it.

Sam Dean of the Telegraph writing that they resorted to kicking him as a last resort.

You’d probably agree with the analysis?

Anything north of £60m will be good value. The issue I have with him leaving is that he is a brilliant human being as well as being a great footballer.

Fair enough. Maybe we will badly miss him. I reckon he's going.
I used to say Lawrenson was the best Albion player I’d seen. To me now Mac A is even better. Caicedo’s in that company, even though’s he’s a young work in progress.

Imho.
