AlMacAl played the full match in the Copa Libertadores semi-final. He wasn't involved in the game's only goal, but still earned the team's second highest stats rating.

Next step, the final, against Gremio or Flamengo.

Have we loaned him to River now?

Is he now seriously suggesting a young lad who was playing for Argentina's bottom club and bought for £8m is now worth LESS since he's been loaned to one of the top 2 clubs, is playing South America's equivalent of 'Champions League' football and is a full international?

Why does anyone bother with his nonsense.

To be fair to BG, I think the players he's referring to as being worthless to Brighton are Andone, Ali J, and Locadia. Not Alexis Mc.

Mac Allister is on loan at Boca for the season and his father and agent Carlos recently revealed he expects that to remain in place.

He said: “It looks like he needs to finish the season, enjoy what it means to play for a club like Boca, demand more of himself every day, try to play for the national team and, when June finishes, he goes to Brighton.”

Seems like his Dad/agent is a pain in the arse who likes to talk up Ally Mac in the media. Hopefully we can at least get a season or two of quality out of Alexis before his dad touts him around Europe to the highest bidder.

For a massive transfer fee. The next few years could be very lucrative for the academy.

Well, let’s hope he does tout him to the highest bidder in Europe. Job done with plenty of cash to bank.

He is one player that I would love to see playing in a Brighton shirt.

I reckon there's a good chance that might happen next season. His ascension to full Argentinian international and playing for Boca should make a work permit simpler than someone like Percy Tau, and if his Dad / Agent is saying he's coming here in June, that would suggest to me that he's coming for Pre-Season.

Full Argie international playing for the Albion. We’ve come a long way since Baz and Battipiedi.

Although Watford also have an Argentinian full international (Pereyra) playing regularly for them, and look where that's got them...

Hopefully the new regime has put a Get A Grip policy in place and has put a stop to the Albion pissing millions up the wall on fantasy footballers that don't come with a work permit already in place. Still can't quite believe that recruitment heads haven't (publicly) rolled over some of the shocking squandering of tens of millions in the period prior to this summer.
