Barbs on white and Jordan at 10am (don’t know exact time) later

No doubt Mac will be discussed
Of course he will, starter question will be “how much longer will he be a Brighton player, you won’t be able to keep him now will you?”

I am sure I am being overly optimistic here, but I wonder if he appreciates the fact that he may have missed yesterday's once in a lifetime moment if he'd been warming the bench at a bigger club? He comes over as fairly sensible and seems to be well advised and maybe he would want to repay the Albion for that? I am sure this has been said in other threads but I think if Cucurella had stayed with us and carried over his form from last season he may have made the Spain squad

All while he’s a professional footballer with an agent he’ll be looking for the next move upwards and bigger bag of cash.

Also absolutely no suggestion Cucurella was anywhere near the Spain squad

What is sometimes missing in these things is that it's not always the player that forces the move, sometimes the selling club wants the deal done because the offer is so good. We'd like to think we never want to sell, but if truth be told, if someone slaps £100m on the table, it might not be a case of MacA saying he wants to stay a bit longer.

Yeah your probably right. I was just being delusional. Can't take away the fact that he was a Brighton player yesterday though.

I don't think you're delusional at all, his dream move might be to Real or Barca and they aren't ready to pounce until the summer. Not sure it's certain he'll go in Jan because he is going to be very expensive. May well be the club give him a big bonus for staying until the summer, lets face it the worldwide publicity is probably worth a packet, and he gets a perfect move where everyone is happy*.

Who's that man from Argentina
Who's that man we all adore
His name is Ali Mac
He's brought the world cup back
And next he'll have the b'alon d'or

Not over optimistic, you have a fan's perspective, unfortunately with the amounts of money knocking about and the good old fashioned 'chats' about wages in the dressing room, as much as we don't want it, if a 'bigger' club wants to turn Alexis's head with mega money they will, the bottom line is its a relatively short career and as we found out with Potter and the backroom staff, if you want loyalty buy a dog.

We just need to enjoy the moment, as has been said before elsewhere, when Albion demolished Mansfield at the Withdean in August 1999, could any of us even dreamed within 23 years we'd have a current World Cup winner in our midfield?

Our strategy with White & Cucurella was £50m return seals the deal. World Cup winner adds a sizeable premium.

But as Bloom always says - when it’s right for the club.
