Not for me, the first player to win the World Cup as an albion player is a special if pretty niche achievement.

Great player and human being, but not anywhere near the legend status of Dunk etc
This comment is hilarious to me. Hopefully being whooooshed here :lolol:

I think that due to his personality, respect and attitude whilst here and his progress as a Brighton player, he is nearing Peter Ward as my all time favourite player. There is of course the small matter of WINNING THE WORLD CUP WHILST A BRIGHTON PLAYER as well. Amazing amazing amazing. That's insane.

If Liverpool win the title (gritted teeth), & we get his true value (another £40m) = legend

I hope one day that we have another player as good as MacAllister. Brilliant player for us, Argentina and now Liverpool.

I am not holding my breath.

So, it’s a big yes from me.

Ironic that he went to Liverpool for £35 million and has become a key player for them whilst Caicedo chose Chelsea and we got £115 million and he has generally been poor for them.

I thought it was more like £50m? (maybe inc add-ons, but I think he'll be fine for those)

It's mad really to see how much he's progressed. Remember watching him at a pre-season game (Getafe?) and he was so pants and taken off quick smart, and now look at him ;)

Always liked him, cheered him on when he set up di Maria for Argentina's goal in the WC final and was so proud that he played for US at the time.

Good goal tonight but not a patch on the best goal ever/never to be scored against Leicester last season in Potter's last match.

Absolutely love the guy, delighted for his success.

Winning the World Cup while playing for us is an unbelievable achievement which may never be repeated.

But, for achievements on the pitch in a Brighton shirt he’s not legendary status for me.

He was an integral part of last season but if we are being honest that was the one and only season he made a really big impact. Gross is a legend, compared to Gross he doesn’t quite reach the legend level.

Should be hitting the target from there tbf. 18 yards out, middle of the goal and no-one pressuring the shot.
And not called Lallana
