This one would be another massive statement. To sign the Champ young player of the year, an Englishman, before the season is out, and after singing Joao Pedro, would be huge.

Seems bristol city fans think he’s the best player they’ve ever had.
I started this thread and I'm a Bristol City fan living in Brighton for over 30 years, share a season ticket in the 1901.

He is the best player I have ever seen for Bristol City even at 19, he's a box to box midfielder that likes a tackle although they say he looks like Grealish I think he has more to his game than that.

Nigel Pearson (City manager) has said he will go on to play for the England seniors, I know I look at him with BC tainted glasses on but he has it all, especially his temperament and off field intelligence.

I can't think of a better club for him to join than Brighton, the lad is going to the top, no doubt.

Being quite heavily linked to a lot of clubs now but not us. £25 million is a steal, and like the likes of Eze and Olise before him, if we don't get in for him now he'll be gone forever. Really think it's worth pushing on this one.

If our recruitment team fancy him, we’ll be in for him, if they don’t, we won’t. I’ll leave it up to them to decide!

Better than Brian Tinnion? Surely not.

According to this, no Top Six is in the race yet so he’d surely fancy us if we hitched our skirt and gave those European garters a flash.

However, I think we’d prefer to pay the sort of fee we paid for Wee Billy rather than £25m. That seems way too much for us.

My Bristol City -supporting son reckons they've signed Hayden Roberts, so maybe they'll let us have Scott in return?
We released Hayden Roberts, so would’ve had no say over his next club.

Or, if we did, I doubt it would give us any sort of leverage over an incoming of Scott’s significance.

“He’s 100% on Tottenham’s radar, they were one of the clubs. Wolves are going to push very hard as well, I think we can also be taking a look to an extent anyway at some clubs with European football. Brighton might be one to watch, I was going to say Aston Villa but their interest has cooled and they’ve signed Youri Tielemans on a free transfer. I don’t think they’ll strengthen in another way in the centre of the park at this stage. The fee they’re asking for is around about £30 million or £35 million. I know in some places you’ll see £25 million. Bristol City want more than that, albeit it might be an all-in number. This isn’t a small deal,”
