Personally I think every serious national team should have announced they would boycott the Qatar World Cup and instead play a summer tournament in the United States, which is where the 2022 World Cup should have been staged. All the major leagues should have announced that they would be playing fixtures as normal in autumn 2022 so that the reward for all that corruption would have been a devalued tournament between Andorra, San Marino, Kiribati and the Solomon Islands.
