I'm struggling to see where pilchard would fit into our starting 11.

He certainly hasn't the pace needed to compete with Baldock.
There's no way he can tackle like our centre midfielders.
He can't cross like our full backs.
And is 3 foot too short for centre back.

He's possibly slightly quicker than a couple of the ball boys ? Could do a job........

He was shite today but for Brentford he was immense for a whole season so let's not judge on one performance... Was hilarious though today - I think we nearly made the hobbit cry

Question for Bozza - I assume you knew it was his Mrs cos he was with her? Odd he wasn't gettin the coach? Did your lot give him some shit for her to present the finger?!

Still Somewhere in Sussex!
I didn't realise he was that small!

Looked very lightweight and easily knocked off the ball. I think I'm glad his sat-nav was knackered in August :rave:

Their left back and him were the only two players wearing long sleeve shirts, I think that's the real reason they got as much stick as they did.

Hard to truly gauge on that performance if he's any good as he only touched the ball a few times but onto days game he looked poor and not up for a physical game

If he was a real character and real quality he wouldn't have put that free kick into the wall, it would have been top corner and then get his own back for the grief we gave him. He didn't. Bad performance in a team in disarray.

The worrying thing is who recommended we signed him for that amount?

No it is not. He was recommended by scouts who watched him a number of times, not in one match where Norwich were to be honest all terrible. He was apparently brilliant for Brentford in this division so I'm sure he is better than we saw yesterday. Looks like he might have made a big mistake as Norwich desperately need to sort their defence out if they are to be up the top at the end of the season.

He played a more central role at Brentford. Absolutely wasted on the wing at Norwich and doesn't seem to add much to a midfield with a high number of lightweight tricky players.

Absolutely. And he was earmarked for a more central role behind Murray for us. I never felt that Norwich were that bothered about him. It just felt like they missed out on other targets and decided they should go for him as we were interested. It's not worked for him so far or Norwich.

And long may that continue

Some players thrive on getting stick. He clearly isn't one as he was awful yesterday and looked genuinely affected by the abuse he was getting.

Whilst Norwich were poor, and he didn't have an especially great game, I think that's in part due to his positioning and the fact that they have no variety in that area of the pitch - all of their attackers behind Jerome wanted to be the silky playmaker and they ended up getting in each other's way. I've seen enough of Pritchard before to know that he's a very good player, when used correctly though and his movement yesterday, in particular, was still excellent.
