Wouldn't it be refreshing if footballers told the truth from time to time. I'd have much more respect for them if they said, "yeah it was a decent offer, but when my agent told me I could be earning an extra £1m a year it was a no brainer. Where is Norwich by the way, and could you pass me my crayons, I'm feeling peckish".......

Not sure how it can be a football decision when he has gone to a place he will be playing significantly less football. Sounds a bit of a thicko if he can't work that out.

I don't particularly MIND that he's chased his wallet to Norfolk, its entirely predictable and most people would do the same thing. But don't then come out and LIE about it being "purely a football decision", like we're all cuffing STUPID.

Cretin.

Lets all just hope Karma dishes Pritchard a big old dollop of championship footy for several years whilst we sail into the promised land.

I am still particularly sad we didn't get him. He is a brilliant player.

However, I do think he has made the wrong choice. I think Brighton will be ahead of Norwich this year because I don't think their recruitment has been that great and Pritchard is really the only one who catches the eye. They have lost Redmond and they will likely lose Olsson and although they have Johnny Howson in their side I don't see any creativity except perhaps Pritchard himself. Their strike force aint the greatest either and they will concede goals from corners for sure

The clown comes from Orsett, near the M25.
He must have a house somewhere between North London and Orsett.
My ass nowhere near M25.

Footballing reasons? What complete bullshit! Would have started matches here, at Norwich he's no more than a squad player.
His decision was for money, nothing else. He must be a real dickhead to think anyone would believe anything else, even Norwich fans seem to agree.
Let's hope our recruitment team can find someone who actually wants to play for us, not just fleece as much cash from our coffers as they can.
Enjoy your time on the bench Alex, plenty of time to sit and think about where your career's gone while watching us soar off into the Prem.

It may turn out he does well and holds down a place, we can only speculate.

My opinion is that he has opted to break an agreement on a whim for more money (fair enough) but with fewer playing opportunities, which is the sad thing.

None of this can do his reputation much good, hence why he's come out with this 'apology' and clarification that it was for 'footballing reasons'

I'm not sure getting promoted is their first aim, who ever pays them more money. McCormack a prime example.

Hoolihan.

I didn't realise that he's 34 now - You wonder how much he has in his legs, especially to deal with a 46 game season. I rate him as a player, but it's a lot on him if they lose Brady.

Hoolahan has a buckload of talent - but he is getting older. He will play a prominent role for Norwich this season but Neal will have to mind him - you will find him getting subbed if he starts or coming on as a sub for the last 30 mins.

I would be absolutely shocked if Brady is still at Norwich by the close of the window. I think that Leicester will eventually lose Marhez and Brady will be his replacement. Even if Marhez stays Brady is likely to end up at Leicester (or Stoke or Southampton or - a distinct possibility - West Ham).

There's a book called The Manager by someone who's name I've forgotten. In there Arsene Wenger says there are two types of player - the ones who want money and girls, and the ones who want glory. He is only interested in the ones who want glory, and they are also the ones who have the longer careers. Guess we know which category Pritchard falls into. I get the impression that most of our players - ok they are still paid beyond our dreams - are in it for the glory.
