My point is simple. Norwich, like Cambridge and, to a degree, Oxford, are very similar culturally to Brighton. Norwich, rural, (although technically a port), has completely different aesthetics. I could easily live in Norwich, although I think I would miss the sea. But to say you have issues with the 'people', well, anyone would have to live somewhere for a decent period of time to make that assessment. Even then it would only be based around a limited experience. Nowhere is without merits. Okay, Croydon, maybe....

Here's my take. Pritchard has spoken to us with his agent AFTER we asked Spurs for permission to do so. We've agreed a fee with the Club & the delay we're sweating on is he now goes on to accept personal terms & hopefully signs for us when negotiations end

Should a Club approach Pritchard or his agent directly without first contacting Spurs for permission then it's deemed an illegal approach. If AP was a free agent then he could be approached directly by any number of Clubs

I see this as a plus because - at present & as far as we know - Pritchard isn't in talks with any other Club. For anyone to hijack our deal they'd need Spurs go ahead to approach him

It wouldn't be unknown for his agent to try to tout him out to other Club's but even if a Club was interested they have to activate a legal means to do so which we have been first to do hence us being in the driving seat.

We'd know if another Club asked Spurs to talk to AP as they'd obviously like a couple of Clubs vying for his signature to up the fee. All we can do is sit back, hope Pritchard wants to play for us & wages etc are agreed with no other Club coming in with the approval of Spurs

Squeaky bum time cos I really rate him for what he can offer now plus if he plays a notable part in getting us up he'll increase in value so our £8m or whatever isn't a gamble

This is how I see it, all this has come out of one Twitter thing by Moose, and Naylors tweet.
If he goes to Norwich, we'll know it's not bollox, if he comes to us, we'll know it is, and didn't someone Ito, apparently, say personal terms could take 48 hours.

Would that mean that somebody but not Pritchard is having a medical?

Also where Pritchard is concerned, Norwich or anyone else wishing to discuss a contract with the player must agree a fee with Spurs although that should be easy now we have. He is then more than entitled to hear what they have to offer before deciding which club to sign for. It really doesn't mean he has gone there at all. Although of course he might. As to they have offered him more money how does anyone know what Norwich have offered or indeed what we offered? Total nonsense and I'm surprised the Argus would print such an ill informed article. The only way to verify that would be to have a source in both clubs and why would Andy Naylor have that?

It's supposition which may have come from his local source but is still supposition none the less.

I've lost interest in the Alex Pritchard 'will he, wont he' debate. He either will or he wont (I hope he 'will').Norwich as a tourist destination/place to live is much more interesting. There is an excellent mussels and chips restaurant in the city centre (called The Belgian Monk I think) and the market area and down to the river is well worth exploring. Some decent real ale pubs in the side streets.You will also be not far from some of the finest beaches and countryside in the UK. Enjoy your break.

They wouldn't need to agree the fee first, it could all be sorted after a club was found.

I'd personally prefer it if there were no other clubs whatsoever interested in any of our targets. Seems as soon as anything hits the press we're done for, as rightly so we won't be held to ransom over wage negotiations.
If he wants to come and be a star in a side trying to win the league, then he'll come; if he wants more money and a numb arse from sitting on the bench for forty-six matches while he watches his career pass him by then he won't.
As I voiced earlier (Before it all went tits up.) I does seem an awful lot of money for a player returning from a serious injury after just one good season. I trust the club and think the recruitment team have been outstanding recently so hold my faith. At anything like the £8M package suggested, I really don't think this is a steal, but understand the market is crazy at the moment.
There is a tiny part of me that wonders/hopes this is a smokescreen for our real marquee signing.
